What has happened to this place? There was no one there on a Wednesday night, the one server looked completely disinterested in his work, and it was just not the same atmosphere as before. I don't think I'll be returning, Sorry.

Rio Balsas Taqueria is a great spot. The food was fresh and flavorful, the tacos were especially good, and the service was friendly and quick. It has a relaxed, comfortable vibe, and I'm glad sto pped in. Definitelya place I'd come back to.

Food was mediocre, restaurant was not clean. Spider webs and dead insects in the window next to the high top table we sat at.

Everything about this restaurant is excellent! The food is always perfect, staff is always incredibly friendly, and it’s never too busy. The live music on the patio is also great!

Stumbled on this place while traveling, but definitely worth another visit! Live music and comfortable outdoor seating, great staff, delicious food (from a former Texan!) I couldn't have picked a better place for a date.

Called ahead for a party of 14. We were set outside (not under the patio) and ordered drinks. The wind started to pick up and blow trash off our tables. It also started thundering. Forecast was calling for rain. I went inside and politely asked if we could move indoors or even to the covered patio. One person said the large empty table inside was reserved. No one could ever give me an answer about the open patio tables. A female employee walked by and said rudely and loudly “what do you need?!?” I explained the situation and she said that they didn’t have anywhere to move us until another table got up. I said “ok” and went back and took my seat outside. Our server then came up (approximately 15 minutes after he took our drink order) and asked what we were doing. We asked if we could get our drinks…he then said that we could not until we made up our minds about what we were doing. We explained we weren't leaving and were just waiting until the other table opened up in the case of rain. He said that he would not bring our drinks outside to then just have to move things to a different table. I’m not sure what they expected us to do? I guess sit in a thunderstorm and eat our food. We ultimately just made the decision to leave….I would NEVER recommend this place. They were rude, dismissive and completely unhelpful.

Like taking a vacation, but no airplane.

Stopped here while on a bike ride.

Great authentic tacos (I had the street Tacos - delicious). Very casual atmosphere and reasonably priced.

I came because I heard about a local bluegrass band performing, and the live music really made the atmosphere perfect! Our waitress Erika took great care of us, I never had a glass run empty. The enchilada was delicious, and I could hear fajitas sizzling from across the room, overall 100/10

BEST FISH TACOS IN ATL!! I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur. Good margaritas too!!

---Second visit: Food came out at a scorching 294 degrees Fahrenheit. This is very dangerous and while fajitas are known to be very hot, I think 300 degrees is a bit excessive.
---First visit: Lunch time visit. Quick service. Not a lot of customers were at the same time. Food was good. The waitress was friendly. It was my first time to visit here and I would come back.

Fantastic Mex and margaritas. I'd recommend the Balsas steak and the salsa sampler. This place is a bit tight on the inside and may not be ideal for large parties. Awesome staff. Quick service. Highly recommend.
