Had to wait for soup to be prepared. I would have thought on a chilly fall day it would already be made. 3 people had to wait for the same meal. The chicken tenders were dry the fries got cold and hard. I was served a tea spoon for the soup not a soup spoon. I never got a spoon or honey for my hot tea I had to ask for one. The waiter was nice and friendly but he forgot to bring the essentials I had to keep asking for them.

We were really excited to try this spot since my wife is gluten free and the reviews looked great. We sat outside, the table was really dirty and we had to wipe it ourselves. The waitress was nice but very inexperienced. She didn't know the menu, what was included with meals, or the answers to any questions. We ordered the steak frites thinking it would be strips of marinated flavorful steak. It was a whole strip that was Luke warm. The fries were cold. I ordered a glass of wine and the glass was nasty with spots, smears and chunks of food attached to it. We wanted to have a good experience but we will continue to go to Rumis for hot, fresh, and flavorful food with exceptional staff.

We really enjoyed our meal before a movie. We arrived just before 6PM in a Friday, pricing incentives were a bonus! I had the spinach mushroom pizza and hubs had chicken parm, we both loved our meal. I had been to TruFood at Lenox Square 2x before, this was my first time at the Avalon location.

We love True Food Kitchen, the healthier food ingredients and the service is great. We have noticed a change in recipes for similar dishes but understaand that happens over time and is not necessarily a bad thing. Changing things up is good. We also noticed smaller portions though. We understand prices of everything are rising and rather than raise pricing, reducing portion sizes is popular. We don't like it but we do understand. It will not stop us from going to our favorite restaurant. Thanks for all you do.

My experience, at true food kitchen Avalon on a scale of one to five was about a three this evening. The food was good as always, and I ordered an espresso martini, which was a bit pricey, and I received it in a champagne glass. I was a little taken aback, and asked the waitress if they had a martini glass, her response was that they don't have that many anymore they've broken a lot of of them. I said well I don't want this drink in this glass. So I asked her to take it back and make me another one in a rocks glass. She brought it back in a rocks glass and it was just OK. It didn't taste great and I was just turned off after the whole glass thing and it just wasn't a martini to me. She seemed to have a little attitude towards the whole situation, which I didn't appreciate.I will be back because I do love the food!!!
