The food is hot, fresh and delicious. I had the fried chicken, hot water cornbread patty, lima beans and corn. This was the home cooked southern meal I was craving for while visit Americus. I will definitely return.

Weekly motorcycle crews ride to black owned restaurants. We rode 150 miles to this place. 8 people and we loved the food. Expect long wait in line but worth the wait and prices are fair.

We found this place the last year my daughter attended GSW as a place to eat after Church. WOW!! Everything was delicious, fresh and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. If you want good southern food like Grandma cooks, go here! Hands down our favorite dining spot in Americus!

Very, very clean atmosphere! Hubby and I sat down and ate here! They are friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! They served us fast with a smile. I had smothered chicken plate and hubby lasagna plate. I recommend them and will be back to visit!

Very very clean. The servers were professional. The food was delicious. My son is chosing to drive us back up to Americus today to taste the Mac n cheese for lunch.The butter roll was absolutely divine!

Gladys’ Kitchen is a staple in the community, synonymous with Southern hospitality and comfort food—and they did not miss! From the moment we walked in, it felt like visiting your favorite aunt’s house on a Sunday after church. The food was hot and fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was well-seasoned, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The dressing was a tad dry but still flavorful. The collard greens may have been cooked with pork, which I don’t eat, so I didn’t have them—but I did taste them. They were finely cut, well-seasoned, and definitely not from a can. As I was leaving, I was asked about my experience, and I later realized I was speaking with Ms. Gladys herself. She was sitting in the lobby, observing and ensuring that everyone had a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the hospitality. This feels like “down home” ♥️
