“I've lived in Miami and Key West, suffice it to say, I know good Cuban food. This place is legit. As good a Cuban sandwich as any i've ever had. Oxtails, Cuban chicken stew, black beans, plaintains, sweet and fried, literally everything I've tried has been perfect and portions are large and very fairly priced. Love this place!!”

“Gladys’ Kitchen is a staple in the community, synonymous with Southern hospitality and comfort food—and they did not miss! From the moment we walked in, it felt like visiting your favorite aunt’s house on a Sunday after church. The food was hot and fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was well-seasoned, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The dressing was a tad dry but still flavorful. The collard greens may have been cooked with pork, which I don’t eat, so I didn’t have them—but I did taste them. They were finely cut, well-seasoned, and definitely not from a can. As I was leaving, I was asked about my experience, and I later realized I was speaking with Ms. Gladys herself. She was sitting in the lobby, observing and ensuring that everyone had a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the hospitality. This feels like “down home” ♥️”

“For my seventieth birthday I came down from North Carolina to Georgia to spend it with my family. My nephew lives in Americus and The Fish House was one of his suggestions. We went there. Eighteen in our party! The staff were great. The food was awesome. It is a fish house but they serve other foods. I went with the Texas BLT and I was not disappointed. I thank you so much for the experience.”

“Food was wonderful! Friendly staff. It’s a little off the beaten path and was not as busy as it should have been. But that was ok with us. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. The building is nice, and cool. Lots of parking. Can’t wait to try it again.”

“I am from Tennessee and I visit Americus, GA very often for business. Anytime I am there I get their Butter Pecan coffee every morning and buy a bag to take home. My favorite thing about Horne Pecan Company is that there is always a Bible verse hand written on every coffee I buy. This alone makes it worth every penny! Thank you all so much for the awesome customer service I receive every time I walk in the door! We love you guys and wish you many, many years of business in Americus! Thank you for your values and I wouldn’t trade one of your empty cups for a full cup of anything from Starbucks!”

“I visited the shop on 3/7/26 during an Americus Disney Theme in the downtown area. I bought 1 sugar and 2 lemon cookies. Big mistake, I should have bought more!! They were so darn good. I will definitely be visiting and buying cookies and trying a sandwich too. The place was packed n customer service was great.”

“I haven’t Visited a Ruby Tuesday in many years. My family and I decided to stop by and give it a try. Boy am I glad we did. We sat at the bar! Bartender was AMAZING! The food was AMAZING! Mary the manager was out in the dining room speaking to all the guest. We had the pleasure of speaking with her for a moment. She’s a really nice lady! Can’t wait to come back in and see her soon.”

Her hours are genius cause it just makes you want it more. Forget Waffle House after the club, GO TO TRACY'S! Staff is friendly too even at 3AM. THIS IS TRULY AMERICUS'S BEST KEPT SECRET. “Hunt Brothers Pizza is a great pizza for anybody searching for really good tasting food the employees are always very respectful their Pizza is also never undercooked or overcooked it is always just right with a perfect amount of toppings”

I’ve been going to Hibachi Express in Americus, Georgia on and off for over 10 years, and even though I live in Atlanta now, it’s still in my top five. That should tell you something!

The food has always been consistently flavorful—whether I’m getting the chicken, steak, or shrimp combo, it’s cooked just right every time. The fried rice hits, the veggies are always sautéed perfectly, and that signature white sauce? Still addictive.

I did notice that the portions are a little smaller than they used to be back in the day, but the quality has never slipped. And honestly, the flavor makes up for it. You can tell they still put care into each plate.

Every time I’m in Americus, Georgia, I make a point to stop by. It’s one of those hometown spots that just never lost its charm, and I’ve yet to find a hibachi spot in Atlanta that gives me that same satisfaction.

“Papa Johns is the best place for the best ingredients and the food is always amazing, Friendly staff, Managers are amazing as well. General Manager knows what he is doing and is always polite and friendly. Wont eat anywhere else other then Papa Johns. If your looking for a great pizza place well here it is you wont be disappointed.”
