For my seventieth birthday I came down from North Carolina to Georgia to spend it with my family. My nephew lives in Americus and The Fish House was one of his suggestions. We went there.
Eighteen in our party!
The staff were great. The food was awesome. It is a fish house but they serve other foods. I went with the Texas BLT and I was not disappointed.

The oysters were amazing the fried fish was fantastic you can't say much about the Low Country Boil but at least the waitress tried to fix it

Fish House is a local gem with awesome food and good service. The fried catfish fillet and shrimp are excellent. The seafood platter is a standout, with perfectly cooked catfish, shrimp, oysters, and deviled crab. The food was very good and cooked fresh. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and dive vibes. Sides like greens and fries complement the meal well. A must-visit for top-notch seafood when in town. The broiled oysters, Florida duo, and broiled “grouper’s cousin” were very good. Key lime pie is a great topping. The service was great, super nice, and considerate.
