I have to say, after hearing so much about this place, I was not impressed! The worker did not greet me. She actually didn’t even speak to me. The food was not hot and did not taste very good at all. Can not say I will return

I tried Monroe's today. This was my very first time. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I tried a slaw, chili dog and a chili dog, both with onions and a side of fries. Everything was pretty good. The fries were fresh and hot, just the way I like them. The only thing I disliked was my coke was a little flat. I do recommend this place. Go check them out. I will be back. I also have a suggestion. For the to-go orders, it will be nice to have a plastic bag being the chili and grease go through the bag. Thank you.

This is an old hot dog place with pool tables that no longer has pool tables. The hot dogs are so good that I got one on my first visit then came back the NEXT day and got two more. We live out of town in S.C. so coming back later was not a real option. I love hot good hot dogs and I could not pass up the chance to get more before heading home. These are hot dogs the way hot dogs are meant to be -- and the fries with gravy are also really good.

Parking: Parking could be a challenge since it is on the street but we had no problem both days we went and there should always be some within a block.

One of the best hotdogs you will ever eat. The top hot dog restaurants in Georgia are:
1. Monroe’s Hot Dogs in Americus.
2. The Varsity in Atlanta.
3. The Little Hot Dog House in Albany.
My favorite is a hot dog with chili, slaw, onions, ketchup and mustard. Parking is a little bit of a problem, but when there is a will, there is a way.
In one word, delicious!

While the hotdogs are tasty, using toasted buns instead of steamed ones could elevate the flavor profile. However, the current ordering system detracts from the overall experience. Customers should place orders at the front of the bar and then pay at the back of the bar where the register is now. This would allow the food to be prepared as the customer is paying and not back the line out the door.
These simple changes could significantly improve the flow of customers, reduce wait times, and create a more enjoyable dining experience.
