Hiding out from the hurricane, we were looking for a local place to eat and settled on Pat's Place due to their 4.7 stars. At first we were a little skeptical because it's a bar basically. But let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious. I got my usual,a Reuben which was delicious. One guest got a graduated grilled cheese which I almost wish I'd ordered. Different types of cheese sliced tomato and pesto absolutely delicious! My son got a chicken Caesar...
Pats place is Americus. When my daughter brings folks home from Athens Pats is always at the top of the list of places they must visit. Friendly staff, great food, laid back yet hectic atmosphere it’s awesome. Pat is one of the nicest genuine folks you will ever meet and he and his restaurant are true Americus icons.
We enjoyed a mushroom and pepperoni pizza and 1/2 order of cheese bread. We also got the larger drinks- that can with a souvenir cup!Super excited that it was not smoky- but they have a outer smoking area of that's your thing.Will return to try more items.
Parking: Minimal parking from what we could see.
Kid-friendliness: Would bring kids early. Heard it gets crowded and loud as the day goes by.
