My husband and I were very disappointed with our food at The Spot! I had the Seafood Groechi which had a very tasty sauce, however the few large shrimp were served floating in the sauce but were not peeled! It was quite messy trying to peel them. It was mainly a large soup with dumplings. My husband had the pork ribs which were very tough and stringy. He could not eat them. The atmosphere was nice but they were having trouble with the sound system.

Food is authentic and tasty. Service can be a little slow. Entertainment is pretty good, albeit a little loud to hear each other if you’re actually trying to eat dinner and not do the bar experience. Was a little disappointed in the calamari (more breading than substance), but the steak was flavored really well.

The workers here are not treated fairly, my fellow coworkers and I are still missing money out of our paychecks and we’re never tipped out after our shift. Money was taken out for “taxes” but no paystub or W-2 was ever given to us to show where our money actually went. On several occasion we witnessed food being prepared without the use of gloves and after someone had touched their face or hair. The food was overpriced and undercooked. The owner never remembered any of the bussers names and I was frequently given the wrong check or yelled at because she thought I was a different white employee. We were told we would start at $10 an hour but we never made anything over $8 an hour. This business is owned by people who never cared about anything more than eating free food and drinking all night.

Food is small portioned and amazingly bland for South American cuisine. Takes an amazing long time to get an appetizer. Ambiance is tasteful. And low key. $$$.

Coincidently, my husband had to go up to Americus for a job, so we decided to join him. We decided to check out the area and found this awesome spot! We loved the idea of it being Latin, we’re Latinos, so we were excited. I have to give 5 stars for location, 5 stars for atmosphere, 5 stars for service and friendliness! I cannot deny any of that! UNFORTUNATELY, the food was NOT on point. We felt that the food had TOO much oil, the tostones were drenched in oil, the fried calamari did not taste right, greasy. The shrimp platter lacked flavor, and the monfongo was small, dry and lacked flavor, did not taste fresh. The bacalao frito did not have bacalao flavor. The café martini, tasted good but it was not a martini. Needless to say, my husband ended up with a very upset stomach and going nonstop to the bathroom. I truly hate giving bad reviews, so hopefully this review will be taken as constructive for improvement. I would LOVE for the Spot to succeed, so hopefully, their food will improve.

The ambience is definitely what stands out at The Spot! Tonight they had live entertainment straight from Miami and it was phenomenal to get a piece of Latin culture shipped into Americus! La picanha y croquetas were both fantastic. If you're into simple cocktails but want a little twist, the guava margarita was delicious. The service was also great and the food came out quickly. I will definitely bring more friends and family back to The Spot!

Went to The Spot for the first time last night with my mom and had a really great meal and time there. Our server was really tentative and friendly and gave the best service I’ve had in Americus in quite some time. The bartender made the best dirty martini I think I’ve ever had. Really high praise to her. The food was delicious. The music was on point. Really glad you guys are open.

The service here was great. Connor was my bartender and made me feel right at home. Spanish meatballs were amazing, very hot and fresh. The steak with the chimichurri was to die for. I only wish I’d asked for my fries to be crispy. The drinks….OMG be prepared to stay awhile and try some things. I hope this place lasts, and grows in popularity. ?

Food was a-a-a-aaamaaazzzing❣️❣️❣️??? Unfortunately, we only had time for tapas, but they were gggrrreeeaaattt and when we are in town next, we will surely be back! The 3 types of mofongo, jamon croquettes, plantains, and Parmesan garlic fries had us all wishing it wasn’t so late (we came there after a show at the Rylander) & we had more room in her tummies. We did make room for the guava pie. Which was THE BEST guava dessert we have EVER had!!!!!! (& we’ve tried A LOT in our time) The chef, Sky, is a genuine talent! And Jessica is an amazing server! She was so attentive and patient and engaging!

I've been going every week since opening day. The flamenco singer, the Latin dancing, the wine tasting, the pianist, the jazz ensemble, and all of the musicians have only added to the experience. The food is always excellent and the staff is friendly as well as great. I highly recommend the skirt steak, it is out of this world good. Chef has a kitchen that is well on its way to being top notch. The owners are personable and their vision is something that Americus needs downtown desperately. Do not expect a kids menu though because this is a place for adults to enjoy some fantastic Latin cuisine and entertainment. Follow the Spot on Facebook to keep up with their events. You won't regret it. Oh yeah, if you are like me and have a seafood allergy, the majority of the menu is safe as well as the wait staff can explain what isn't safe. Also, they are open Sunday afternoons 12-5 with some special Sunday only dishes.

Very nice open concept. Loved the cascading lights from ceilings. You have to try the Lake Bresashear drink great combo of liquors. The salad was a nice size bowl. They have a nice open bar ? it was more dinner time when we went so not sure what night life goes on for the Saturday. We did see a small stage in middle of the food tables. They also have the adult game room & 2 dart boards. Try the drinks there some nice dinners. It is a $$-$$$ rating for Us on the food prices. But should fit all budgets. Oh you can walk to the location it is next to the historic Best Western which is listed in historical hotels for possible poltergeist activity..?? ??
