I paid 50 dollars to get a pass to get through the line and into the bar and after I already paid it they told I was not aloud entry to the bar. The bouncers were screaming at everyone and it was the worst well run bar I have ever seen. They did not have the situation under control and kids were getting pulled out of line getting arrested for no reason. This ruined our New Year’s Eve and we wasted so much time and money.

I'd like to express my gratitude to the team at 1785 for their dedication to their roles. However, I must bring attention to a specific incident during my recent visit that requires addressing.In this unfortunate situation, my sister was involved. It's important to note that she was not entirely blameless, as she was engaged in an argument with the security staff and displayed hostile behavior. Nevertheless, the response from the security personnel was excessively aggressive. The security guard physically intervened, which included pushing and shoving her, a response I found to be entirely unwarranted. Ultimately, this led her to experience a panic attack. This incident deeply unsettled our entire group and left us feeling unsafe.While I do understand the challenges security personnel face when dealing with inebriated patrons, it remains crucial that all customers feel secure and respected throughout their time at 1785. Therefore, I urge the bar's management to provide more comprehensive training to their security staff, equipping them to handle such situations with increased sensitivity and professionalism.My intention in sharing this experience is to contribute to a safer and more comfortable environment for all patrons at 1785. I have confidence that the management will take this feedback seriously and use it to enhance the overall customer experience.

def should be closed down and management needs to be investigated, creepy. i get bars are dirty but... a roach in my drink??? my friend has dropped her wallet and we left without realizing they would not let us back in. told us we could come back next day befofe it opened but no way anyone was going to be there

They Say The Owner Of This Club Only Allow Whites Only In His Club, Which I Think Its Racism Because I Got In One Time Then When Me And My Friends Try To Go Back A Couple Of Times They Always Say Students Only And Most Of Them Are Not Students.They Be Also Judging Others About Their Outfits, You Should Never Judge Or Disrespect Others. This Club Is Not Right At All, This The Only Club Always Have Problems With Blacks. Downtown Is Suppose To Be About Everyone Have A Good Time.

You have to be a very very preppy white person to get in this bar . On holloween last year while everyone had costumes on I was told I didn’t look preppy enough to get in and the person in front of me was dressed in a clown ? costume . And just last weekend I was told I didn’t pass their dress code but when i asked about what was the problem with what I had on nobody could tell me. It’s just kinda disappointing. Worst place ever

Cam the manager is amazing. Food was great. We wren't sure if this was the place for us because we're older and this is a college town but they welcomed us in with open arms. Highly recommend.

this club is not for black people. the amount of poc i see them say cant get in is absolutely ridiculous. first the gm says they're looking for either students or people who know how to act like an adult which is completely understandable but when you have a whole line of people mainly people of color who can't get for reasons unknown is so funny. the example that the assistant manager gave was if he see someone who he thinks will cause trouble they can't get it but the same people are black so like if y'all want the club to be an all white club just say that. nobody give a damn anyways. the musics ass, you can't have fun in there. i wouldn't recommend this club to anybody unless they are white. me & my friends (1 white girl, 2 black girls, 1 black men) were let in the club around 11 & we stayed got a drink & danced a little. then we decided to go to another club just to see what the night was like & then we decided to come back to 17 & they didnt let the 3 black people in this time but let in the white girl in. they did not ask her for her student id but ask all 3 of the black people for ours. bc its a "student night". so i asked the assistant manager what time did it become a student night & he said its been like that all night but when i was there the first time nobody asked for student id or said anything ab a student night but like lets be fr rn its summer time, why would you have a student night while student are back home from college???? so big fuck you to mr. jarred for discriminating against your own people :) hope the clubs get shut down or sum :)

This place thinks they are higher quality than they are, will act like they have a ‘dress code’ to some but not to others. Also, better watch some of the bartenders, one neglected to give the receipt and then tipped themselves $10 for a $20 drink order.
Shockingly terrible service from the kitchen. Play poker there on Monday nights. Every time we order food it takes more than an hour to get our food and sadly it usually sucks. Bar staff is not bad but don’t order food, you’ll be disappointed and frankly as I sit here having ordered an hour and a half ago, I’m truly disgusted. Finally gave up and decided to leave just as my food finally came out. Didn’t bother to eat it. The best the manager could do was take our food off the bill when he should’ve actually taken care of our whole bill. This place is not run very well at all the management is incompetent, as well as the kitchen staff. This is my last time here, it’s not worth the frustration I experienced tonight.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE BLACK! 1785 is RACIST! Very disappointed in the owner! On 3/18/23 I went to 1785 with 3 friends, one of them is black. Security told him he could not get in because they were having a “UGA students only night” but they were not checking UGA IDs. One of my friends was let in because she was white. Then two white people behind us we knew who were not UGA students were let in as well without checking UGA IDs. Regardless of it being a student night or not RACISM WAS AT PLAY. I’m sure so many WHITE people were let in just because they’re white! JROCK should be ashamed of himself for him to be a black man! We will never give 1785 our business again and to think we used to enjoy going!

1785 is the best bar in town for many different vibes. If you want laid back you should visit them on a weekday, and take advantage of their specials all week long! But if you wanna get wild and let loose visit them on a Friday or Saturday night l, where drinks are flowing and music is rolling.
