We don't drink alcohol but decided to have dinner here and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was nice, the music was excellent and the food was delicious and worth the price.

Matt, the owner, is super chill and kind, and the staff goes above and beyond to make your visit wonderful. Always a good time; always get beer to go after your food & drink.

My husband liked the beer here. We stopped in on Saturday and had the Cerebus Trilpeta Fries. They were SOOOO good. Maya took great care of us. We stopped back in on Sunday on our way out of town and had the Cerebus Tripleta Sandwich and it was even better than I thought it would be. Definitely on the top 5 list of best sandwiches ever. Staff were all friendly.

We ate at Akademia tonight and had Laura C. as our server. I will start with complements on the food as it was great. Laura’s service was horrible. She was not friendly when greeting our table and taking orders, I waited 20+ minutes for my two sample beers and only received them upon reminding her. We ordered 2 appetizers that never came. When we asked about the appetizers when our meals arrived, she informed us that the food had been prepared but nobody knew what table to take it. That is quite the excuse when she as the server knew one of her tables had ordered the food. Lastly, our drinks were not refilled. On numerous occasions while waiting for my beer and the appetizers that never came, I witnessed her on her cell phone. We have always had a good experience at your establishment; however, this is the type of service that will prevent us from returning.

I'm from out of town and needed a beer. Luckily, it's within walking distance from our hotel. I like IPA's and this place didn't disappoint. Very tasty stuff! Great variety too.
We ordered cheese curds and fried pickles to split between the two of us. The fried pickles aren't your ordinary fried pickles. They had a unique pickle bite, thinly sliced and had a good crunch. Perfect with beer.
We both ordered the wild mushroom pasta with chicken. This dish hit the spot and was very filling. Portions are more than you can eat. I had to get a to-go box. I'm looking forward to leftovers tomorrow.
The atmosphere was laid back. We sat at the bar. Brandon was our bartender and very attentive. I ordered my first beer off the menu and asked for a recommendation on the second. He nailed it with an EQ IPA.
If you're looking for a good place for beer and food, this is it. Especially if you're on this side of town. There isn't much to choose from.
