My family and I have visited several times in the past and always had excellent service and food. Tonight was very different. After eating dinner, I attempted to go to the restroom and was informed by one of the females that was sitting in the hallway that the bathroom was closed. I told her that it was okay, I would wait until it was finished. She said, "no it's closed for the night."I told her yet again, I would wait until they were finished. During the entire conversation, no one was cleaning the restroom or occupying it. I told them that we had spent over $40 and that I would be using the restroom.My family was told that it was the owner's rules, not theirs. With that being said, we will never return to American Deli. They do not need our money if we aren't allowed to use the restroom.

I originally posted a review for 3 stars but now they only get one. They apparently only sell 75%+ drums at this location. Every time I've ordered I get denied for all flats and recieve at least 75% drums. Every single time, won't be back. I've never had an issue at any other American Deli. I've never not had an issue at this location.
Good thing I ordered extra fries on the side with my philly + wings combo.. no fries in the combo. Smh always an issue here.

We went to try the wet lemon pepper wings and chicken tender sandwich.The wings were disappointingly small and the wet lemon pepper was way too salty. I was shocked at how salty they were.I got the chicken tender sandwich tossed in hot sauce but I wouldn’t do that again. It would’ve been fine without it. They use pickles, onion, lettuce, mustard, cheese, and the hot sauce wasn’t needed. Also the hot sauce is very vinegar heavy.I will say though the fries were amazing! Possibly the best fries I’ve had in East Athens. Also, the employees were very nice and everything was so efficient. They have a huge variety of items and I’ll definitely be coming back to try some other things.

This American Deli location is amazing. The staff is/are very friendly and knowledgable. The Cooks are also cool and accomadating when making the food. Food is always fast, fresh and hot. I eat here so much, I had to finally leave a review to showcase their hardwork, professionalism and great food!
Didn’t even have to eat here to get horrible service. I was picking up a GrubHub order and the woman at the counter was very rude because there was an issue going on. She didn’t offer to help whatsoever and didn’t even smile at me once, I wouldn’t eat here or recommend to anyone.

Me and my husband went to pick up our order and I asked to use the bathroom while he was getting the food they said where it was there was a high chair blocking it because quote "it's only for customers" which I was so I moved it and went to the bathroom when I came out they put the high chair back in the way knowing I was in there so I had to move it again to get out and as I was leaving cause my husband already took the food to the car they started complaining I wasn't a customer so I shouldn't used there bathroom when I literally just picked up there food just because I didn't wanna sit down and eat in there restaurant I wasn't considered a customer that's was the worst staff ever!

Friendly employees. Great service. The burger was VERY juicy, and the fries were great as well. The portion size was big enough that I could have made two days out of it, but I was enjoying it so much that I decided to eat it all.

This has to be the worst American Deli ever. Came here the other day, both females in the front were pleasant and the main one who stood out had such a beautiful smile but anyway, I ordered a 10 wing combo with chicken fried rice and when it was ready, I took a look and can tell it was salty just by how dark the rice was ( wayyyy too much soy sauce). My wings were too hard and salty also because they were drowned in teriyaki and sweet chili sauce. Once I took my fork and tasted the fried rice...lawwwwwwdddd!!!!! You would've thought that José wanted me to be rushed to the hospital with High Blood Pressure. Yes, the cook's name was José and he was very rude when being asked politely to remake the rice and not put so much soy sauce inside. This guy starts to get offended and says no, he will not make it over. So I then asked for my money back. I say all that to say this...If you can't take constructive criticism JOSÉ, YOU SHOULD NOT BE WORKING IN THE KITCHEN!!! YOU CAN NOT COOK MY FRIEND!!!!!!

My family and I had a long day of traveling and decided to order here for delivery since they had a bit of everything. They got multiple aspects of the order wrong (such as extra tzatziki, add banana peppers etc..) and it was genuinely bad food. We ordered 5 different times among us and no one liked what they ordered. I wasn't going to write a review because eh, we all get it wrong sometimes. But then I got food poisoning from it the Philly sandwich. Just skip it if you can lol. The food was hot, though. Oh, god. After I wrote this review I saw they've had 3 health code violations. This explains the food poisoning. Yeah...don't eat here lol
