Buvez is my favorite coffee shop in Athens. There are several I love, but the vibes, lattes, and staff at Buvez are the best in town. Their iced latte has a strong, rich espresso flavor. I get half sweet and it’s just sweet enough for me. Their almond vanilla syrup is one of the best latte flavors I’ve ever had! There is always enough seating in my experience. I absolutely recommend Buvez!

Coffee is decent… but the price is misleading. Listed price for an iced latte on the menu is $5.35.
I visited on Oct 5th. Ordered an iced latte with oat milk ($0.60) and caramel syrup ($0.70) which should add up to a total of $6.65.
Sales tax in Athens, GA is 8% so the total should be $7.18.
However the total I was told to pay was $7.49 including a service fee of $0.20 (see attached).
I really hate it when companies try to upcharge without being fully transparent about their pricing.

I used to love this place but I don't know what is going on with the tea quality and pricing. The matcha and chai used to be good. Now the matcha just tastes like milk and even the barista admits that Sips has better chai. And they charge close to $7! The coffee prices have not seen similar sharp increases. What happened??

The employees here are kind, some of the best I’ve seen in the service industry. Sad to see the olives leave the menu, though.

Starting this off with I LOVE the strumpet sandwich specifically and the muffletta. I walked in today hoping to order one only to be told they are changing the menu again and don’t sell them anymore. What I don’t understand about buvez is they KEEP removing the best menu items. If you’ve been coming here for a minute you remember the baguette with prosciutto and fig jam. They took that away from me too but all good, I settled for the strumpet. Now that is being RIPPED away from me as well. Those sandwiches w prosciutto and fig jam were the main pretty much only reason I came here. Stop removing the best menu items yall fr. Now I’m sad, strumpetless, and have to write this review all while having nothing to pair my chai latte with.
Please hear my cry for help and bring back the baguette or at least the strumpet.
The atmosphere was great, but the service was slow to the point that the menu changed while we were in line and were forced to choose other food. Then the food we recieved was so salty it was almost enedible.

Kind of a bummer to not get any latte art on my latte, it was fine tasting but not anything special - also they won’t ice any of their hot teas which I found odd when you can pretty easily brew it hot and pour it over ice

Untitled Thoughts
This is my third or fourth time coming to Buvez, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is calm, idyllic, perfect. The drinks (of which I’ve tried several) always fill me with warmth (I tend to the hot beverages) and are the right balance of flavorful without being too sweet. And today, I ordered a Chicado on Ciabatta. Oh my word. By far one of the best sandwich’s I’ve ever had. So filling, so flavorful.
And of course, the staff are lovely, helpful, and ever patient.
