Didn't go in we arrived bf opening, and the tables outside were nasty still had beer pitchers and dirty dishes on outside tables. After reading the reviews of the horrible service and then seeing the tables outside we drove away deciding if they can't even clean the outside tables maybe this isn't the best place to eat after all. Sad Bc we were expecting a good experience.

Last time that I come here!!!!! As we arrive here we where probably the only family that was in the whole restaurant tables were empty. So we thought it was going to be a easy service. The Girl took or order which by the way told us that she had been working here for a couple of days. As we where ordering our drinks the girl told us it will take a while to make (we order sweet tea) we thought It will take 15 minutes or less but to our surprise it took over 30 minutes. Not just the time it took for a sweet tea it's was not sweet and tastes like more lime water than tea. We order our food and time pass by we notice it already pass probably like 45 minutes and realice that not even the appetizer haven they brought us. Not to say we orden something simple chicken quesadillas and enchiladas and something else. Everybody at the table got their food finally!!!! When we where missing my cousins quesadilla that took over and a-hour they brought my Nephews But not my cousins. She keep telling us it's was on her way up we saw several plates come before hers to other people the arrive after us. The food was not good not real Mexican by the way. Not only was I not happy with the service provide to us but they charge a 20% tip. Which I Was and I am still very furious that they took a 20% tip for a service they now it was terrible and food took Like for ever and not even good. I am giving a one star and not coming back at all, not even for free food.

Husband and I went there for lunch today and now we are sick. The place was not busy and our service was really poor but in the waitress defense she was the only one working she was bar tending and working upstairs and downstairs a lady was sitting at the bar watching utube and another customer asked for more chips she said she would be right back and the customer apologized and said I thought you worked here she said I do I'm the manager then she got up and got him some chips after a few minutes. Bartender/waitress said they were going out of business because both buildings are for sale. Didn't stop the manager and her date from eating crab legs not on the menu by the way.

Pretty upset with our experience this evening and this was the 2nd time trying this restaurant (the 1st time, they messed our to go order up completely..) We walked in around 6:40 p.m. and it wasn't busy. We sat at a pub table near the bar and let a girl (we weren't sure if she even worked there because NO ONE greeted us when we walked in...) know that 1. It was my husband's birthday and 2. We were placing a "to go" order. We sat there for 10 minutes before she offered a menu, and after looking at the menu and it being obvious we were ready to order (another 10 minutes), the bartender/waitress took the people who walked in a few minutes behind us' orders first. This wouldn't have been an issue, however, we never even got so much as a "Can I get you anything to drink?" after seating ourselves. We got nothing but a cold shoulder and attitude the minute we mentioned our dining inentions. Deplorable is what I should tell anyone who asks me what I think about Caborita's, at this point. Your Bartender/waitress cost your restaurant not only the $100 we spent at Dos Palmas on our food and drinks, she cost you a LOT more in future sales as well. The only time we will ever come to this establishment is when Lynn does her karaoke show, and even then, we won't patronize your establishment after the way we have been treated here. Dos Palmas gave my husband a birthday dinner to remember and it wasn't the negative experience you guys gave us..again.

Exceptional Custome Service is NOT what you should "pride" yourself on, as you say in your description. A better word would be DEPLORABLE. We ended up walking out this evening due to the lack of customer service. We weren't even ACKNOWLEDGED when we came in. This was our 2nd negative experience at this establishment so we won't be patronizing Caborita's again. Such a shame..the place had a lot of potential, but seeing as management doesn't care or want to improve customer service,, It's only a matter of time before it destroys this place. Good Luck..You're going to need it.

Excellent food and great ambiance. There's lots of indoor, outdoor and balcony seating options. We came in and sat down. Once the waitress saw us we had excellent service. The food was authentic, delicious and affordable. I will be back!
Couldn't even get served! Arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday. No hostess appeared for 5 minutes, so we walked over to the bar and asked if there was one. Bar tender told us to go upstairs and somebody would help us. Despite a few employees stocking shelves, we were totally ignored and left after a about 10 minutes!

I rarely leave reviews and try to be kind to servers in the restaurant industry, but holy cow--should've listened to all the other terrible reviews. We arrived around 5 on a Sunday and there were stained cloth covered chairs outside on a covered porch area with one random table and a bunch of cigarette butts. We walked up and they walked us in and up the stairs. The place didn't feel clean at all and the first scene we were greeted with didn't help. We ordered the 3 Gringo tacos and I specified my children would share it and what to put in the tacos. My husband and I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas to share and we had a buy one entree, get 2nd half off coupon. (Thank goodness!) The chips in the basket disappeared quickly but as much as we could see our server and a girl in running shorts (that is to say, there was no consistent uniform) walking back and forth in a back area, nobody came out to check on us. We were the only ones in the restaurant. When the food came, we got the wrong beans and there was a double order of the tacos. He commented that must be why the kitchen was so confused. Ay yi yi. Oh, and before the food came out, he wanted to know what toppings I wanted on the tacos and named off those in the mexican tacos (not gringo tacos) so I was fully prepared for the order to be wrong. Glad our expectations were very low! When we got the check, the 2nd entree hadn't been reduced so I had to go find someone because nobody came back out for a while. As far as the food, the tacos were well stuffed and the steak was good. The shrimp was....just not good. My kids didn't notice all the details and thankfully enjoyed their meals. It just seemed like nobody who worked there cared at all about much of anything. We will not be back and I anticipate the restaurant won't last too long at it's current rate.

I had high hopes for this place. When we first found it the food was good and the service was good. Over time the food has held good but the service has went down hill. Talked with the owner about a experience we had when our server was not taking care of us but our servers had to step in just to get us through the meal. We could see her standing in the little room playing on her phone and the other servers were mad that she was not helping her tables. They did not say it just could tell. The owner just said well you know how hard it is to get good people. We went back a few weeks later hoping the owner would make the changes to keep service up, but no same server was there so we requested to sit in another area. The other server was ok but not up to par with any other place in Athens. You could tell they just don't care. We tried it for the last time tonight and again food was good but the server didn't care. I hate to say it but we will not be back. The owner don't care so it will not change.
