My family and I attended the wild rumpus festival this October 25th and my son wanted to use the bathroom the nearest restroom was in this restaurant. We entered and a man stopped me and told me kindly they were closed. I told him we just wanted to use the bathroom and he said it was okay so we headed towards the bathroom and a lady stops me and yells at me saying they were closed. I said we just wanted to use the bathroom and she continued to yell I had to get out, I responded why when there’s a line of people for the bathroom she say they were all employees but there was more than 5 people waiting. She continued to yell that I had to get out over and over again she scared my son and he get really upset when he hears yelling, I just responded with that she was being rude and walked out. A couple outside of the restaurant in a scream costume stopped me asking if they let me use the bathroom and they saw me with my son. They said oh well she let us and she let everyone else use the restroom but us because we we’re hispanic. That was very racist and rude we were the only ones who didn’t use the bathroom because we were Hispanic everyone else who was in that line was American. My whole life I’ve lived in Athens I’ve never had anyone be this rude and racist. I just hope the lady isn’t the owner because she has 0 customer service and no respect. She was the lady in the blue skirt and orange shirt with pigtails.

Food was great, service was decent. We came in for dinner there was no wait for a table (it’s a seat yourself), food took maybe 10-15 min to come out. Overall good experience, music was tiny bit loud so it was hard to have a conversation but otherwise great and good prices!
First of all, don’t trust the photos on Google Reviews—they’re far from an accurate reflection of reality. Somehow, the torn plastic table covers, scattered crumbs, and lone flies never make it into the frame. And those pictures definitely won’t show you the two dirty bathrooms (hint: guys, the toilets need cleaning more than once a month).
Now about the food: I ordered a bacon cheese burger, and it was actually pretty decent. Tony from the Build The Dream YT channel confidently claims that Clocked serves the best burgers in Athens, GA, and I’m inclined to agree—though to be fair, I haven’t tried any others in town. The fries at Clocked were solid. The Greek salad had way too much vinegar. The grilled cheese was underwhelming—greasy toasts with bland melted cheese between. For some reason, our tea, lemonade, and milkshake came in three completely different styles of glassware.
Bottom line: three stars, barely earned thanks to the really good burgers and the waitress. She was great—sweet and friendly.
