Had not been there in awhile as service, food was not up to my standards. They have really a turn around at the Epps Bridge location in Athens food was hot Jamie was out waitress and she went above and beyond making sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed was really impressed with her.

Waited for 45 mins to get my pickup order out on Thanksgiving day. Ridiculous! Pickup orders are supposed to be picked up at the given time. The food was even worse! Absolutely zero flavor.

My wife and I ate dinner and had chicken and dumplings, steak tips, green beans, fried okra, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and cornbread. The good - dumplings and green beans. The bad - everything else. Okra was not crunchy and had steak seasoning on it. Mashed potatoes were bland and nearly broke a tooth on a potato eye. Cornbread and rolls were not tasty. Waited a long time for food to come out and had to ask for the bread.

Excellent freshly prepared hot food last Tuesday early dinnertime!!! Whoever the cook was did a great job. The biscuits are back to being made fresh and they were fantastic. Zoey was a great waitress too.

Shepherds pie is not good.

I wanted to compliment the Athens Cracker Barrel on their guest service. My family, and I, have been to several Cracker Barrel’s in the north Georgia area but none seem to come close to the experience we have at Athens. The team seems to be happier in recent months and the atmosphere just seems down home. We are thankful for our server Jaime today, and Lyndsey the other day. There is always a smile on their faces and a politeness in their voice. We have restaurant managers in our family, so it’s nice to see managers out visiting tables, and genuinely caring about what the guests have to say, fixing the issues, and having great conversation. In the midst of all that has gone on with Cracker Barrel recently, they have not allowed it to affect their stride, nor will we allow it to affect our frequency there.
