While visiting my Aunt in Athens we got take out From the Timothy Road location. We were told an hour. I arrived 50 minutes later, paid and waited about 10 minutes for the server to return to the bar with our order. I could tell the pizza box was not warm but when it was handed to me. When we arrived at my Aunts condo just a few minutes up the road the pizza and pasta were COLD. Frustrating to have to wait for cold food. The salads were good and the taste of the pizza and pasta were good. Next time I guess I’ll order and wait at the bar?

Ordered shrimp and grits, one of my favorites, for lunch. It was not very good in my opinion. The shrimp tasted like farm raised shrimp not fresh Gulf shrimp, earthy. I like cheesy sauce with the grits, but of course there’s his so red sauce of some kind. It was not all that tasty, bit spicy. Overall, I was disappointed I really expected more. The polenta cakes were fairly tasteless really. three out of four our table were not really happy with their food completely. Atmosphere was nice. Sorry, but I was really expecting more from a place with such a good reputation.

My family always enjoy eating at DePalmas when we are in Georgia. The food is always great. The staff are always very attentive. I would recommend if you enjoy Italian food to give them a try. Would recommend the spinach and onion breadsticks, you could make a meal of them.

Depalmas is an Athens institution. The Timothy Road restaurant does not disappoint. Aside from one of the best pizzas in Athens, the menu boasts a good selection of quality dishes. And the service is always top notch. Keep up the good work!

I had dinner there for my birthday. What a mistake. The place was not overly busy yet nobody including my party was getting their entrees. Our server passed us many times without making eye contact and explaining the long dalay. Finally I asked for the manager who told me they were having kitchen personnel problems. When I finally received my eggplant florintine entree it was disappointing especially for $18.00. The dish had two slices of fried eggplant resting on mushy angel hair pasta, a few shreds of cheese and a few basil leaves. I recommend going somewhere else including the grocery store for a frozen Italian entree

I really hate to do this because Depalma’s has been our go-to for the last 10 years. I ordered (Pizza) about two weeks ago and the sauce tasted bitter and totally different. We also ordered the breadsticks which seem to be undercooked.

Today I contacted the store and spoke with the manager, just to see if there was a change in the ingredients, new chef or just a bad day. She insured me that the ingredients were the same, along with everything else, so I decided to order again. Unfortunately, it was pretty horrible. I will no longer be ordering from DePalma’s unless they go back to their old ingredients. This really stinks.

I made reservations for my family and visiting daughter and grandkids. Our server Susie was fantastic! Party or 7 with 2 littles. The mushroom lasagna was 10/10!! Perfect! My husband had Caesar salad with salmon, cook was perfect. My daughter shared her eggplant strips with Gouda sauce- yum. We enjoy the ragu And flat pasta - cooked to perfection and the littlest of the party enjoyed cheese pizza. I love the new choice of pinot Grigio. I enjoyed the best Aperol spritz at the bar before my party arrived.

We had a very unusual experience for DePalmas. I have dined at the other locations and enjoyed it all thoroughly, but we were surprised by the poor service at this location. Our waiter did not get our drinks correct and brought the wrong appetizer. After that, one of the ladies in our group ordered a cheese calzone, and it literally came out and was empty, seemingly containing an ounce or two of mozzarella cheese, maybe a tablespoon of ricotta. She politely showed it to the waitress and asked for it to be remade, only to be told that “as a courtesy”, she would be taking “the first one ordered” off the ticket, and that she would only have to pay for the second one. Well, yes. That’s how that should work?! Then, the second calzone was just as empty and unappealing as the second, but after waiting over 45 mins, she just asked for a box to take it home. The check came and actually showed two film orders of calzone, with one being “comped”. It was really strange. The other orders were eggplant and chicken Alfredo pasta, both of which were delicious, but not served very hot. It was a very long dining experience, about 90 mins to get our food and a box and the check from when we ordered. We weren’t in a hurry, but this seemed disappointing, as it wasn’t very busy. I’m hoping this was a one time fluke, and we will try this location again sometime, but I highly recommend the location on the east side. DePalma’s has been our go to for proms, celebration dinners and apps and drinks at the downtown and east side locations for years. We love them!

Sat at the bar the other day and was treated horribly. I believe the bartenders name was Sam. She was extremely rude and had an awful attitude. Will not be back.

I used to work here. This is the location and I craved the food there after moving back to town. Chicken was pink and raw. Marinara for breadsticks never got cooked before packaging. The owner refunded my chicken and handled the situation. I appreciate that.

The food was great. The service--not so much. Went for early lunch during the week, so not too busy. The hostess never put her phone down and barely looked at us. At the end of our meal, we asked for to-go boxes and after 15 minutes I had to go find our waitress to ask again.

We ordered the fried eggplant strips with spinach gouda sauce (delicious!), pasta DePalma with artichokes and the seafood Charmaine. Both were so delicious! The rosemary gives the former a great first impression and if you don't mind a little kick from the jalapeño, the seafood Charmaine was our favorite. It didn't even need the shrimp.
