I went to Open Air BBQ for the first time today. The drive through was convenient and the friendly lady at the window was helpful, kind and sweet. She was the best part of my experience. I ate in my car in the parking lot, because I had my dog tagging along. First o tried the okra. It was hot and fresh. It tasted as expected. Next I tried the Brunswick Stew. This at first bite tasted spoiled. It was not palatable. Next I tried the coleslaw. It was chopped so fine it’s mush and too much sugar. Next I tried the BBQ meat. It was moist and the portion was generous. I did not taste much smoke. The mild sauce is strong on vinegar, very vinegar forward. Overall, my favorite part was the sweet young lady at the drive through who helped in a friendly way.

The baked beans and okra were 10/10.
The bbq ribs were 7/10. Had too much of a vinegar taste and the meat didn't taste smoked at all, it appears to be boiled or grilled with sauce to cover it. The sauce was very thin. I prefer my ribs with no sauce just good ole smoked ribs! Would I go back again if in the area, yes for the baked beans and okra but I would try another meat

Okra was the best! Crunchy. Drinks reasonably priced $2.25. Friendly staff. We had our doggie with us and he received a “pup” cup and water. At least 2 tablespoons of barbq in the pup cup.

Southern Hospitality at its finest! We were welcomed right when we walked in the door and the woman at the counter even gave my 3 kids rubber piggies ❤️. Food was very very good. Highly suggest getting the Brunswick Stew and Cole Slaw. Woman at the counter found out it was my birthday and gave me a free pudding also!
Fresh Air is the best! We cater for around 200 of our members at least twice a year; Fresh Air night has become a staple event for our fraternity!

Typical southern BBQ. Good. Fried okra is done just right. Banana pudding is the sleeper!!! Ribs are good (still has silver skin on :( ). Smoked chicken is nice. Slaw is nice, sweet, ground cabbage with slight mayo. Grab a BBQ sandwich with slaw, sweet tea, a side and puddin. Park under a shade tree and enjoy.
