Golden Sun Chinese Restaurant

On 10/28 I called the restaurant, letting them know that I noticed a fly in my food. I ordered the food on the 25th. Today I told him the day I ordered the food; he stated that anything could have happened to the food in between those dates. He then stated that it was not his problem and that I should have noticed that the first day I ordered it. I did not notice the fly in my food because it was hidden in the broccoli stem. I only noticed it yesterday, October 27th, when I was eating my leftovers at lunch. When I called in, the male I was speaking to was rude and dismissive. I called to let them know that it happened, which was followed by him angrily hanging up on me. I called back, and he stated, “Please do not call back again.” I honestly wanted them to know my experience so something like this can be prevented in the future, but I was met with complete unprofessionalism.

The food is good.... but its not 100 dollars to feed 3 people good. We used to be able to feed 5 people from this place for 40 bucks. Now its almost 100 to feed three people. While its my favorite Chinese take out spot....I just cany justify the cost to eat here. There are way better places that charge way less.

We ordered takeout: beef w/ broccoli, Mongolian chicken, and orange chicken. The Mongolian chicken was very good. The orange chicken turned out to be general tso’s, and the beef was just terrible. We couldn’t eat it, the meat might’ve been bad.
As far as atmosphere, the front is mirrored glass because of the sunsets , but the glass is filthy.

We ordered thru Uber Eats to our hotel while moving our daughter into her apartment at UGA. So disappointed. Gummy noodles with barely any proteins included that was ordered. No napkins. No cutlery. Dumpling were barely crispy. Buyer beware!

A reliable take out only place with a large and diverse menu. Food is not always hot when we get it but tasty. Seasoning can be inconsistent from one order to the next. Large servings. Food reliably ready on time.

Idk where they get all the stars from . Everything without sauce is bland. Rice was terrible so plain. Egg drop soup was bland. I'm a lover of Chinese and can eat most anything but I'd never go back.

I've been ordering from this restaurant since it opened and it was always great. However, there seems to be new owners and the portion sizes for the dinner combinations (soups, sweet and sour sauce, fried wonton strips) have gotten much smaller. Then they tried to argue with me that they were the same size as always, I know what I've always recieved and that's not it. It is fine if you want to change things as new owners, but don't raise the prices and decrease the serving size, and then lie about it. On top of that the fried wonton strips tasted like soap. Yes, soap. I had to throw both bags away and those are usually my favorite part of the meal. The food was also noticeably different in taste (low quality and nasty seasoning). I should have read the most recent reviews, however, I just figured it would be as good as it has always been. Unfortunately, I will be looking for a new Chinese spot. Run from this place don't walk!

The place has new owners and the past two times we have gotten food it has tasted bad. We will not be going back. Sad because we have been going there since it was opened.

I ordered some chicken fried rice very disgusting there was no seasoning and the Rice was very mushy. you could tell this is not the same people that use to run this restaurant I will not be returning.

Was cursed out and robbed of my money from these people ! and i have the video to prove it , ALL about some soy sauce??

I don't want to be mean, but this was, literally, the worst orange chicken I've ever tasted. It not only tasted super burnt, but was so tough it was almost impossible to chew! (Imagine trying to eat overcooked steak.) The one good thing was that the orange sauce on the chicken was tasty. Maybe this was a one-off bad night for the cook, but I personally would never go back and would not recommend.
P.S. The restaurant only allows take-out/delivery orders; the dining room is closed (permanently, it seems, as covid is long since over at this point).
