I really wanna give you 5 stars. I really do. Love the artwork, music, but man - 3 dollars for a small coffee refill?? Even Starbucks doesn’t do that. And why do all the baristas have constant attitudes. You easily could be the best cafe in Athens but you’re not leaving your customer base with the feeling that they are actually getting their moneys worth.

Very good sound and nice people. I saw a review complain about the sound so I had to jump in and say it's really the best! I don't like the prices for drinks- but who ever likes drink prices? - and I've not had much of the food, but the music serves many audiences, the cover charge is fair, the general atmosphere is welcoming, and I always like going here. I go out to see music a lot, and if something is at Hendershot's, I am more likely to attend.

I am a fan of chargrilled oysters and they only serve raw. The server explained how all prepared raw oyster dishes are not served equally. I decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved them. My girls and I had shrimp & grits and fried rice. Absolutely loved! Note: The Shrimp and Grits portion is a small portion size.

Website shows 7:30am opening. Arrived at 7:45am and stood outside until 7:50am. Lady inside clearly saw us but continued to ignore us and didn't come to door to explain if we should wait or leave. Was looking forward to trying this place, but ended up leaving to find another cafe to enjoy.

Interesting venue. Visited for an art show. First two beer choices were unavailable which was disappointing. Heavy pour on the mixed drink.
Parking: Large lot and some street parking nearby.
It was a wonderful place and coffee options are good and the staff were friendly

We love their outdoor area when the weather is nice. It's set back from the road and has excellent shade through much of the day. Great spot for a coffee or a beer.

I visited Hendershots for the Kenny Rogers Tribute on May 31. I gave the food and service 1 star as there was no food, which was disappointing considering the tribute was at 8pm. I didn't have coffee as I'm not a coffee drinker, but I did have a Diet Coke and a slice of zucchini bread. For a music venue, the acoustics were extremely lacking and not worth the $48 I paid for a reserved table. I was also disappointed that some of the performers didn't even know the words to the songs they were attempting to sing. I doubt I will attend another music event here.
