My wife and I always enjoy eating at the Hilltop Grille when we are in Athens. The cream brûlée is amazing. On our visit to Athens on 2/13/2026, around 11:30 AM, I had the grilled salmon. We have truly enjoyed every experience dining here. The service has always been top notch and the food has been hands down the best. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes appetizer! I wish they would incorporate one that is layered pimento cheese/fried green tomato/ salmon patties drizzled with balsamic dressing. They’re usually prepared 3 to a platter appetizer.

Dawgs fans shouldn't miss a chance to be there for Bulldog brunch on game weekend Sundays! I totally loved the grits. FYI the Crawfish gumbo is creole and not cajun. It's delicious but you should know that it has tomatoes. I would go for a nice chicken and sausage gumbo with no tomatoes and a little bay leaf seasoning. The other patrons were very friendly and welcoming on my first visit.
