They can never decide when they’re open. Don’t rely on the posted hours because you’ll get there and hike up 10 flights of stairs to find the door locked, even when it’s 68 degrees outside and it’s a Friday night.

We (4 persons) had a very disappointing experience at Hyatt Rooftop in Athens. We arrived a bit before 9 p.m., ordered at the bar (number 24) and were told it would take around 20 minutes. After 30 minutes we started asking the waiters how much longer it would be — and after more than an hour and a half, the food still hadn’t arrived, while others who came later were already eating.

We spoke with several waitresses and even the manager, but nothing happened. When we finally went to the bar to ask for a refund and leave, a waiter suddenly appeared with our food , insisting to take it, saying it was now “free.” We refused — it was too late.

We understand it was game day and the kitchen might have been overloaded — but it would have been fair to let customers know from the start, not as an excuse at the end.

Unfortunately, a nice view can’t make up for such poor service and lack of communication.

Elevator was broken, wine was horrible....they ran out of things and just substituted without asking...worst mac and cheese EVER!! Andyook 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches 😡🤦‍♀️😫

I haven’t been to HyBar in so long, and I went in tonight and had a great time. The service was exceptional especially from Kate. She was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure me and my friends had a great time. I will be coming back soon, and I hope Kate. is working! 🙌🏼

I ate here with my friend to celebrate a special achievement I had. I was really excited, I heard the views were great. They told us we had to pick up our $20 entrees from the downstairs bar (when sitting on the roof ) and then we waited 20 minutes without seats, drinks, etc in the downstairs lobby. The lady from the kitchen came out asking what our order was (while smacking/eating) and yelled it back for them to start making once we were standing there. I have been waitressing and bartending for 6+ years. I have lot of empathy and understanding when it comes to restaurant operations but this is completely unacceptable. Staff is just sitting on their phone while we are going up and down elevators to food run overpriced food WE are paying for.

Made us go downstairs and across the parking deck to grab our food. Kind of ridiculous considering there are 3 people working upstairs and we are the only people there. Won’t ever order food here again.

We had Matt D as our bartender and he took AMAZING care of my friends and I. We had the best time and the cocktails were delicious and well crafted. Huge props to Matt D, we will be back.

We enjoyed an afternoon at this rooftop bar, though service was a bit slow. Drinks were good (we did not eat) as well as the atmosphere - with one exception. It is August in GA and they don't have a single fan on this roof! So unbelievably hot with no air moving at all. A few well placed fans &/or cool cell fans would make a huge difference!

Just ordered two orders of fries to go. They were only half cooked. Totally non-edible. How do you screw up fries?! By hiring cooks that do not care about the quality of the food they serve…. and the staff are busy looking busy but doing little to provide a true customer experience.

Great views of Athens poorly maintained, aged rooftops on one side and a massive array of solar panels on the other. It's a nice outdoor space but not much to look at. The food is not very interesting, the drinks are expensive and the staff doesn't know how to make most of them without looking up the recipe. It seemed like it was everyone's first day. They were friendly but did not seem to have any basic customer service training. The silver lining was that they are very disorganized so they didn't bill me for everything but I imagine in ended up on someone else's tab.
