I dined at LR for the hundredth time the other night and ordered a Caesar salad like I always have before and they served me A CAESAR SALAD MADE FROM KALE!!!!!! I kid you not- it was terrible. Totally inedible. I’m sorry but there are certain things you don’t meddle with and Caesar salad is one of those things. Our waiter was also inept and extremely slow. We sat for half an hour waiting on our check.

Five stars for Last Resort Restaurant. The kale salad alone is worth the visit, with perfectly tender leaves and a mouthwatering house-made green goddess dressing that’s creamy, vibrant, and unforgettable. I loved the food we had to celebrate my anniversary. Brunch was amazing. We had the raspberry French toast and the omelette. We asked to go the amaretto cheese cake and the kelhua tres leches. The amaretto cheese cake was amazing. Unfortunately the kelhua tres leches seems it got swapped with something else. I got just a boring vanilla cake. Not even was a tres leches. I guess next time I will only stay with the cheese cakes but never again with the tres leches.

I was hoping to eat here, but when I called, they told us it was an hour wait and they don't take reservations nor will they put your name down on the list. Unfortunately it would take me 30 minutes to drive there, and I couldn't budget 90 minutes to just get a table, due to time constraints for our babysitter.

I didn't know what to expect when my wife and I came on our date night. However, the food was pleasantly good. You can tell that whoever runs the kitchen has culinary experience. The server Jeff was also amazing. There wasn't more than 4 minutes that went by where he was at least observing if we need something. We will definitely be back.

I had an excellent dinner at Last Resort Grill! This Athens classic serves up Southwestern‑inspired Southern cuisine with bold, fresh flavors and a creative menu. Came back to Athens from Atlanta. Always have loved LR and enjoy the owners. Really disappointed this time. Roughly 20 min after paying our $300+ bill with generous tip, a gentleman came and said they needed the table so our 4-top would need to leave. There was no one waiting for a table on our way out. Very tacky ☹️

The Fried Green tomatoes are a must! Bulldawg Spritz cocktail is perfection. Garden salad with Vidalia bacon dressing is so yum and my fav is the chocolate raspberry cheesecake 😋 Great place to celebrate a birthday! 🎊
Quail is spectacular, praline chicken great, white chocolate cheesecake is a show stopper! Best cheesecake ever!

My family and I went to breakfast at this establishment. Our children had Chick-fil-A nuggets with them due to being very picky eaters. My husband and I ordered full meals along with cocktails.
We were informed by the manager that outside food was not permitted. We complied by putting the bags away and allowed our children to finish eating discreetly, without disturbing other guests. There was no disruption, and we had ordered a substantial amount of food and beverages from the restaurant.
Despite this, the manager returned and addressed us in an extremely rude and condescending manner, stating, “I don’t know what you don’t understand about no outside food allowed.” We politely asked if an exception could be made, and his response was again dismissive and unprofessional.
Isaac’s attitude was unnecessarily hostile and lacked basic hospitality. Based on this interaction, we will not be returning and do not recommend this establishment. His demeanor was not welcoming, and his customer service was severely lacking.

“Manager” Isaac was one of the most rude service providers I have experienced. I loved this restaurant in my undergrad years but unfortunately the terrible service experience has permanently damaged my opinion of last resort. Hopefully they can hire people who actually enjoy working in the service industry in the future.

We've never been to Athens before so we decided to walk the town. We noticed a restaurant, just about opening time, with a line of people. We investigated and it turned out to be a jewel. Very nice atmosphere, signature dishes are a little spendy (Caramelized Scallops =$45), but otherwise ok. Also (most important) the desert case has quite a variety of cakes and cheesecake, we enjoyed German Chocolate cake. Overall, the food was excellent, check the photos, the fish is a huge piece of Trout, and the other is the pasta. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend. Had a great experience with my dad and stepmom. The food was excellent. I got the short rib and they got the hangar steak. Our waitress was awesome. She had great suggestions, was very friendly, and checked in often for refills which I always like. The atmosphere is nice. We sat in a covered patio and there was an electric fireplace to keep it warm.
