Absolutely delicious and exactly what we were looking for! We were welcomed with such warmth and everything she was cooking looked incredible. We got a chicken salad & side of green bean & peach salad (pictured) and shrimp salad & side of orzo pasta (not pictured). We were visiting from out of town and definitely worth a stop back just for another bite to eat of her tasty food!

This is more of a little deli-restaurant than a full-fledged restaurant. There's a few tables for 4, and two tables were pulled together to make a table for six. If the restaurant was full, maybe 15-20 people could be seated total.
I admit, it was a much smaller place than we had expected from the website and other information online. Now that you'll know that up front, it won't surprise you like it did us. 😉👍🏻
When entering, you have a display case with some food (pasta, chicken, broccoli salads, etc.) on the left. The menu is on the wall behind the case and it lists what's available that day. The day we were there, the menu had three main dishes listed. There aren't any menus to look at otherwise.
It's a very small, casual atmosphere where the owner takes your order and prepares it. She's very friendly and helpful, and cared a lot about questions we had. She patiently helped us order and explained everything we needed to know.
All four in our party opted for the Basil Chicken Salad sandwiches with various sides. We all enjoyed everything we had.. EVERYONE cleaned their plate!!
Drinks are by the can or bottle out of the refrigerator case. When you're done eating, you clear your own tray and toss your trash.
We were all very relaxed and didn't feel rushed at all. Another party of diners came in and ate while we were there.
Just from the business set-up and the small number of dine-in customers, we think Lindsey's is mostly a place people park, and pop in to pickup a pint of chicken salad, pimento-less salad, or any of the other available options for an easy at-home lunch or dinner.
There's a small parking lot right beside Lindsey's, so parking was unexpectedly easy. All of us agreed, we loved the food and won't hesitate to eat it again. It'll be a great option for picking up pints for a picnic anytime we're going to go hang out at a park or other event.

Was looking for a healthy lunch and based on previous reviews, this place fit the bill. I had a salmon Thai salad and tomato bisque and both were fantastic. I will definitely be back.

So glad I found this establishment while I was traveling for work. Great healthy food with a decent variety. The staff are so kind and welcoming. All high quality! Seriously felt at home! I recommend the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread with a side of broccoli salad.

They have a sign that says, “the cure for Hangry is Lindsey‘s“ but today when I went in, during their stated hours, I was told they weren’t gonna open until later. They are like a lot of places that cater exclusively to students and possibly city employees or somebody else close by. I’m sure it’s fine, but it’s definitely not for me, I need a place that is open when they say it is!

Delicious. Comforting. Nuevo-Classic. Simple, straightforward foods like maw maw would make, with elevated flavors that will appeal to the most sophisticated palates.
NOTE: These pictures do not do the food justice I had take-out, and it was amazing!
The shrimp salad is one of the best I've ever had! The chicken salad is creamy and chunky deliciousness! I love the roasted vegetables in the orozzo salad. And the blueberry-peach cobbler is to die for!
Can't make up your mind? Try half & half!
In less than 15 minutes, I gained another must-vist spot and serious respect for the chef.
Chef Lindsey followed her heart, and it shows. The power of answering the call to be your authentic self shines through the ingredients and flavors here! Well done! Thank you for welcoming this Cali Girl in true Georgia style. I will be back! ?

This place is wonderful! Small menu, changes regularly depending on what is available. Easy, laid-back service. Tea in the cooler come and refill when you need to. I had lemon chicken salad on last visit. It was fresh and refreshing. Always try to stop by if I'm in Athens.
