After hearing so many good things, i was excited to try Maepole. I heard the mac n cheese and buttermilk ranch were worth it. The mac n cheese is different- it's not so cheesy but has a nutty undertone and is perfectly seasoned. The vegetarian fritters were okay but something was lacking from the whole bowl. The interior looks weird but atleast it's not too crowded.

I enjoyed my hearty sweet potato, tofu, kale, and green bean bowl. The vegan protein option was tofu (not tempeh as indicated in the description. The server indicated that everything is vegan except for the mac and cheese and the meat.

I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was!! We went here to have a quick lunch and it was the perfect choice with a blend of meat eaters and vegans in our group.
The food and the sugarcane sodas were SO good. I finished my entire bowl. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in Athens!
