Honestly surprised at the high reviews. Went on a busy Saturday expecting fresh food from the amount of people but was served potatoes that had to have been sitting for a while, lukewarm gravy with a pretty dry biscuit and to top it off the bacon broke like glass because it was so burnt. All for an extreme amount of $34 dollars for two people. Unbelievable.

Have you ever wanted to spend 10 bucks for a biscuit the size of you palm? Ever wanted to be more disappointed with every bite? come to mamas boy where the biscuits have no butter the eggs and bacon have no salt or pepper and the best part the biscuits are doughy with absolutely no crunch to the outside. But if a biscuits not your style try the egg scramble where the only notable thing is that the grits on par with microwaved grits. The only good part about this place is the atmosphere and the staff but if you care how the food tastes then you’d be better off licking the pictures

I had the RUDEST server. I have worked in service so I am always understanding of how busy it gets and stressful it can be. I asked for some water which I had ordered at the front and others had gotten at my table. He went to get it and he rolled his eyes at another waitress about me when I was right there. I also went and politely asked for a refill on my coffee when something got dropped off,
and he was very condescending. The only blessing in this scenario is that he passed us off.
Also I do not recommend the egg scrambler… maybe try something else if you go.
The food was not worth the service.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing. Their homemade biscuits are enormous and so fluffy. Extra delicious with their guava berry jam.

We stopped here on a game day and were super impressed! The service was amazing and quick even though they were pretty busy. And the food was so tasty. We are now craving their biscuits.

The fries are some of the worst I have ever had. But the rest of the food is good. Order at the counter, tip ahead of time (which is also off putting), and then food is delivered to table seating.

I order from DoorDash for my first time. I had been looking over the menu & checking reviews for a couple of weeks. I ordered the eggs & vegetable scramble with a side of cheese grits & a biscuit. When I opened the container I was a bit puzzled. It looked like someone sloshed some eggs into a paper bag.
And I don’t know where people get their ideas for cheese grits, but slapping a piece of cheese on top or regular grits is not it. So I have cold, gelatinous grits & something that looks like my dog threw up. The only saving grace was the biscuit. It was great. That’s why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. I usual give new places I try a 2nd chance, but they don’t even warrant that. I’ll stick to the biscuits!
I love mamas boy, but today I got it delivered to me… and the chicken in my chicken biscuit was undercooked and pink when I cut into it.
They have the BEST grits I've ever had!
