Finally tried this place. And I'm glad I did.
My first thought was how nice the place smelled. Like spices and food. The lady who took my order was very kind. The food is delicious. And lots of vegetable options.

Really good flavor on everything. It’s very very authentic and a first for me. Meals are about 17 after tax for a meat and 2 sides.

This is easily my favourite restaurant in Athens so far. Although it is a little expensive, you get a lot of food and all of it is absolutely delicious. I never had Eritrean/Ethiopian food before Mannaweenta, but it is now one of my favourite cuisines! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like to try new foods or are looking for something a little different

You what whey say some of the best local places are little hole in the wall places that only a few locals know about. That is my job! And this is one of those places, very authentic and great. Eat it the way they do, using the injera as your eating utensils and licking your fingers when you're done.

As soon as you walk in you're greeted with a smile. This was my first time here. I got the doro wat with lentils and collards. Everything tastes fantastic. It's the best, most flavorful meal that I've had in a long time. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Highly recommended!
