We were blown away by Indigo Road Hospital Group's latest creation Osteria Olio in the Rivet House in Athens Ga. Brenda and I were staying at the Rivet House to attend the Georgia Tennessee game and ended up eating dinner and brunch at Osteria every night and day. Steve Palmer who we met there has hit a home run with Osteria Olio a 5 star gourmet dining experience. AJ is the star host/manager who gave us a great table every time, the food was delicious including bone in New York Strip for me and the Spaghetti Alla Bolognese for Brenda. My steak and eggs at breakfast was the best I ever had in my life. The Martinis were perfectly mixed by bartender Graham. The vibe at dinner was subdued elegance with stunning well dressed customers all feeling blessed to be dining in a such a beautiful built-out space. Thank you Indigo Road Hospitality for giving Athens Osteria Olio which has now joined the A-list of gourmet dining experiences in Athens.

Osteria Olio absolutely exceeded our expectations!!! Normally my husband and I have to travel a bit outside of Athens for the level of quality service and food we had here. Thomas was phenomenal and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal. The wine selection was so amazing we struggled with which one to decide on! We started with the beef carpaccio which was perfectly balanced, we split the funghi pizza which was amazing! I have the Cacio e Pepe while my husband had the ziti and they were both incredible. The sweet potato panna cotta was perfect and so was the espresso martini. They made sure I felt celebrated to the max on my birthday! We will definitely be coming back ASAP!❤️

Went for brunch. The food took very long and the carbonara tasted like buttered undercooked noodles with one piece of pancetta that cost $27. Beautiful spot otherwise.

We had an epic Thanksgiving meal that was well prepared and our server Riley was delightful. Riley steered us to some of her favorites starting with cocktails, ceaser salad, noochi, pork chop and two sinful desserts. We highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance was a huge plus as was the valet service.

While I did not eat dinner, I will say….a new bartender, Kleigh (pronounced Clay) was absolutely wonderful… drinks were perfect, he definitely deserves some credit for his busy night and still rocking the drinks. It’s a bad ass atmosphere for those of you wanting to get
“Outside” of downtown Athens. Highly recommend

Positives: Our server, Jenna, was amazing. She was very sweet, polite, and helpful. The exterior, bar, and bulk of the dinning area were beautiful. The complimentary valet service was a nice touch and the attendant was extremely professional.
Negatives: We were seated next to the kitchen which was loud, hot, and had a lot of foot traffic. We were at a very small table wedged in between two large families with small children. It was not ideal for a date night. The food was hit or miss. Our appetizer and dessert were good but our pizza was overcooked. Also, we could smell things burning from the kitchen which was not pleasant. Maybe some additional training for the host station would be helpful. It seemed like inexperience that may have resulted in the seating of a couple in that particular location with so many open tables available for the duration of our visit. I would reserve that area for children, large groups, and couples when there's no other seating available.
We will definitely visit again and request seating away from the kitchen. Overall the place has great potential and we are looking forward to giving it another chance.

Food was great, atmosphere was even better. Especially loved the pork chop dish. However my pizza was completely black at the bottom asked my server about it and she assured us it was normal. I don't know if it was the lighting or she didn't get a good look. It was very much not normal, it was too burnt and we could not finish it. Besides that it was great.

Amazing restaurant in Athens! From start to finish our dining experience was a 11/10! The atmosphere is very cozy, the service was amazing, and the food was just as good if not better! Our server Charles was great and helped make our experience! Definitely worth visiting.

The place is awesome, it feels like you’re on vacation for a night somewhere different than Athens. Food was great and while it was expensive, it was only $150 for our two appetizers, entrees, mocktail and a dessert. Not bad for HIGH quality food. I gave it a 3 for atmosphere because our table was SO extremely close to the people next to us. Felt like our anniversary dinner was being shared with 4 other strangers (luckily they were nice). Would recommend!!!

Food was decent, but the atrocious service assured I won’t be back.

We went for weekend brunch, and there were maybe 4-5 tables occupied (so not overly busy). Ordered our food, thought we were off to a good start…and then it all went downhill.

It took over 50 mins before they brought us any of our food (including food that takes 8-9 mins per the waiter). In the meantime, our waiter never came back. We finished our drinks; nothing. Emptied our water; nothing. Other waiters eventually brought our food (again, 50 mins after we were seated, with the place practically empty), but no one bothered to get us any more water, offer us another drink, nothing. We ate our food and tried to ration what little bit of water was left on our table so we didn’t choke. After we all sat with empty plates for a bit, we finally had to waive down the waiter to bring our bill.

Sad thing is another group came in and sat behind us with a different server (at this time maybe 3 tables in the restaurant were occupied). They were brought an order of bombolinis (the same thing we ordered, paid for and waited almost an hour for, which take 8-9 mins to cook) in less than 10 minutes of being seated, as a “gift”.

Unless you want to drop hundreds of dollars for decent food that you have to choke down and be completely forgotten in every possible manner, avoid this place like the plague.
