Me and my wife was taking a drive from Stone Mountain Georgia on the back roads , and came across this restaurant, great food ,great service , outstanding waitress she been with them for 26 yrs .
This is a workers paradise. You can come straight from the farm or work site and fit right in. The food is southern comfort food. Great fried chicken and fried pork chops. Black-eyed peas, corn, green beans, mac and cheese, and more. The decor is 1970's truck stop. Nothing fancy, but great all-you-can-eat food for $15, and friendly workers. If you want a quiet atmosphere, go elsewhere. I have lived in Athens a few years, and this was my first, and not last, visit. I hear...
The name is obviously problematic, but this lunch spot is one of those gems that some towns are lucky to hold on to. They serve a regular rotating menu of Southern comfort food and classics and they do it very well. Don't forget to tip!
