What a wonderful place! On my first visit I think I found a new favorite. The food is interesting and delicious with a variety of options that were as healthy as they were tasty. Our table especially liked the street corn, the Vietnamese chicken salad and the fish curry. Ordering to share was a little tricky, but it turned out everything was so good that we ate all of it without any trouble. I liked that the dishes were paced so that you didn't have a table full of food all at once. The signature cocktails were also very good, but might benefit from simplification. Service was some of the best I have had lately and our party felt special and welcome. We will definitely be back!

I loved it, my spouse loved it, and my two and a half yo kid loved it. This place is exceptional. We had the kindest server. The meal was a banger after banger. Waves of flavor pummel your taste buds with every bite. The BhanXeo was truly the best I’ve had in my life. And that smoky goodness of the mushroom skewer. It’s so good we’re going back tomorrow.

Sat at the chefs table and it was very nice. each bite was delicious and extremely diverse and complex. Very interesting. Slightly buzzed off the “Goose Chase cocktail” and the addition of the Pfeffersack was very nice. Mint oil on top was a good touch. Got many things- Beef carpaccio was the fav. sorry for the weird thumb bandaid i cut my self with a knife today. on accident.

$17+ for a plate of “drunken noodles” with no protein or vegetables is straight up robbery. I’m still in disbelief with how terrible the food was. They used the wrong kind of noodles and it barely had any flavor. I had to eat a second dinner just to get some sort of nutrients besides carbs.

While still pretending to have my very own travel show we stopped into Pretty Boy for dinner tonight. The coconut spare ribs , pure genius what a dish firing on all cylinders. Enjoyed some rice lager from Three Taverns on of my favorite breweries in Georgia. Tried the fish curry and some mushroom skewers too ! Excellent pit stop 🛑

One of the best new restaurants in town! Don’t leave without trying the chicken skins. There is nothing bad on the menu. We went on Lunar New Year and chef Kevin had curated some special dishes. He was adding some of his grandmothers homemade pickled bok choy to one of the dishes that was excellent. Thought and care put into every dish and every guest.

Gorgeous newer Viet-fusion spot in Normaltown, on a wonderfully walkable block surrounded with other restos, bars, shops, etc. The vibe is eclectic and intimate, with a cool option to sit at the low counter in front of the chefs. Reservation recommended.

We passed a wonderful evening dining family style with a larger group (~12) in their semi-private back dining room. Gorgeous craft cocktail list: the Vietnamese coffee cocktail is a must-try with dessert.
Chicken skins, cucumber salad, pork skewers, peanut noodles, and ribeye were highlights!

Pretty Boy is easily one of my favorite spots in Athens. The monkfish I had on my first visit was next-level, flaky, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The pickle-herb salad on top adds this fresh, tangy kick that honestly takes the whole dish to another level. Most recently I came with a birthday crew and had the ribeye, which was amazing too. The fish sauce caramel? So good I could’ve ordered that as my next drink.

Some honorable mentions: always get the Viet Street Corn. It’s one of the best starters, no question. The salmon crudo is also up there, even if it leans on the smaller side. I also tried a bite of the beef carpaccio and it was seriously delicious. Great spice level and bold, well-balanced flavors. I’m definitely ordering it next time.

The service is always great and the drinks are just as thoughtful as the food, creative, balanced, and made to match the vibe. Can’t wait to go back!

We arrived and we were able to be seated without a reservation, which was very nice.

Once seated, we had to wait several minutes to be served probably around 8 to 10. We were offered a free appetizer which was very kind of them.

I also ordered a beer and got a glass of wine, which they quickly remedied.

As far as the food goes, somethings were good. Some things were OK.

We ordered the cucumber appetizer, which was nice. Definitely something to split with 2 to 3 people. Definitely also has a kick. I would get this again.

We got the pork skewer as well for an appetizer. It was enjoyable. I would also get this again. The sauce was nice. The pork was tender, and the nuts made a good addition.

For the main course, we split the omelette and the drunken noodles.

The omelette I would get again and it was my first time trying something like this. We got the shrimp and pork mix.

The drunken noodle noodles was very celery salt forward. A little too saucy for my liking. A unique flavor profile that eventually became overwhelming. I wouldn’t get this again.

We tried the pandan cake which we both enjoyed.

All in all, I would give this place a solid, four out of five. The atmosphere is cool. I really like the music. The food is OK. The service was well trained and I really appreciated how everyone worked together.

I would go again
