I really enjoyed the food. Quacomole was delicious. My first time going and the waitress was great. I loved the tacos but would advise them to place on something that keeps food warm or heated. Otherwise nice experience 😌

One of THE BEST restaurants in Athens. Empanadas and smoked ribs are AMAZING!!!
I’ve tried multiple items off the menu and it was all phenomenal.

Dominican flavors done as right as it can get! We tried the Chicharrón Mofongo, and it completely surprised me—it was so good! We also had the Punta Cana Platter, cheese empanadas, and yuca bollitos—everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The only thing I’d change would be using the classic yellow Dominican cheese instead of mozzarella, but I totally understand the logistics behind that. We even had Merengue and Red Dominican Country Club soda, which made the whole experience feel like being back home. Highly recommend if you are craving some dominican food.

I love Punta Cana Latin grill. The food is phenomenal! It’s like taking a Caribbean vacation in Athens Ga! I have so many favorites but I must say the Veggie Jibarito is my favorite. Add the salsa picosa and punta cana sauce for an enhancement to this delicious dish! I also love The owner Ms Steising! She has transformed this restaurant to a new level! Please support this woman owned restaurant. It’s a little bit of paradise in this awesome city! Thank you for the excellent service!

Our family recently ate here on a Friday night over football weekend. It was the only reservation available. And now we understand why. While every indoor and outdoor eating establishment in the area was packed, Punta Cana was empty. The server did not speak, he only grunted. He also dropped a tray of waters right next to our table and walked away without saying anything. The food was not good. Ribs were dry and tough, shrimp tacos were cold, and tortillas were somehow tough and difficult to chew. In hindsight, we would have preferred to wait an hour anyplace else rather than eat here. One bright side, the owner seemed very nice but I honestly can’t see this place surviving. Again, this place was completely empty on game weekend! I’m guessing the many positive reviews here cannot be genuine.

Punta Cana is as s authentic as it gets. They have everything you would expect, cooked to perfection. You can't find Dominican food like this without flying to the island.

This place is so nasty, I am Dominican and it’s not even close to tasting like Dominican food. We ordered the mofongitos and it was disgusting! They added pure white fat from the chicharrón. Terrible place it should close down. The check was $80 for sandwich and a rice and bean plate.

The food was great, i really liked the lime monir sonando. Prices weren't mentioned on the menu, and it was more expensive than a standard restaurant even though the food was standard.
