This is a small hole in the wall family owned BBQ restaurant. That said, do not expect atmosphere... but what you will get is some amazing food!!!

Lots of people lime my 278th BBQ restaurant. But my long held position is pulled is better than chopped so chopped gets a deduction. The sauce was good, BBQ was at least tender and and a decent portion. Didnt do sides as the selection was slim, but the added slaw was ok. But as for wholes in the wall, its a place to stop if your in the area of Hull/North Athens and you dont want to venture down to Butt Hut or Smokehouse. The price was good too.

Moved to Athens from Dallas Texas and heard about this place on the SEC network show True South the food was excellent and the owners are very nice I will be eating here a few times a week

Mr. Scott is always the nicest man! You have taken a step back in time when entering. They really care about what you want, and what you think of their product. We found them about 5 years ago and have never gotten any bad BBQ from them (especially love the ribs!). It is not fancy, it's like going to your grandma's for dinner. You know you are welcome!

2 stars because the hash/stew was damn good. Nothing else was unfortunately. Might have caught them on an off day. The ribs were honestly just not good. Very little edible meat on them. Mostly fat, very chewy. They were out of baked beans which is typically a BBQ joint staple item.
Went in to place an order for food. Three people working. No one acknowledged me nor my kids. No hey how you doing or we will be with your shortly. No good customer service.
