Oysters from a variety of locations, professional presentation. Small inside, so best enjoyed when the outdoor seating will be comfortable. Well-trained staff, deep in numbers, so patrons never want for anything. The lobster rolls were delicious.

Bad overall experience, I am sure the food is great but they were out of a lot of dishes.

Sea bear is a wonderful institution. It’s got a friendly, casual vibe, fantastic oysters, friendly bartenders, and a first class kitchen. Great beer and cocktail list, and a wonderful value.

Everything was so tasty! Most flavorful dishes we have experienced in a while! The 4 tops inside fill up fast but there is bar & outdoor seating as well. Hosts, servers, & busers are always nearby if you need them. The oysters are smaller than what we are use to but the flavors vary so different state to state. I'm not as much of an oyster eater as my husband but they were delicious! Plus the bill wasn't as much as we were expecting! Great people, food, & atmosphere! Definitely will be back!

Seabear is hands down the best of the best in Athens. A true gem for anyone who appreciates fresh seafood, top-tier cocktails, and a menu full of thoughtful, well-executed dishes.
The oysters are always impeccably fresh.
Small plates and entrees are clearly crafted with care — everything feels intentional, from flavor to presentation. It’s the kind of place where you want to try a little bit of everything, and you never regret it.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, Seabear should be at the top of your list

We were not impressed with the lobster rolls or the scallion pancake, small portions for the price. The chocolate cheesecake was very small and very unimpressive definitely need to do some work to this dessert to improve it.

We were referred to this place by someone who raved about the menu. Especially, the oysters. Whenever I can get a north Atlantic oyster I jump at the chance. They had six reasonable priced ones varying from New Brunswick to RI and they were all great. We also had grouper sandwich and a lobster roll. The lobster roll was done just right. Chilled, with mayo and a light seasoning on a proper toasted bun. Being from the NE it's always to get a roll with the right amount of knuckle, claw and tail meat. Well done....To compliment the whole evening, our bartender, DANI , was outstanding. Great suggestions, well made cocktails and stellar engaging conversation. It is in the bottle works section of Athens with plenty of parking in the rear. Parking is cheap with the app.

First visit here. Setting the mood...patio seating was very pleasant after a rainy day left cool breezes. Boys highly recommended the oysters, some of the best they've had. Caesar salad and clam strips to share and both were delicious. My husband loved the scallop fried rice. My son and I both had the grouper sandwich, lightly coated and fried without being greasy. Toasted bun and the special sauce were the perfect match. Fries were some of the best. Will be back to try all the menu!
