I used to get milk tea from this place because my coworkers would order in bulk, so it was cheap. But today, I went by myself and noticed the price had gone up a lot. The woman at the counter who took my order was incredibly rude — she frowned at me the whole time, which felt really disrespectful and kind of discriminatory. I’m definitely not going out of my way to visit that place again!

Just left out of here and the lady acted like she couldn’t understand me when I said I wanted to replace my boba with strawberry poppers and she wasn’t understanding what I was saying and caught an attitude with ME because she wasn’t understanding me. I didn’t even get my strawberry poppings!!! I said thank you have a good day and she just rolled her eyes lady is rude and disrespectful, you shouldn’t own a business if you’re gonna be rude because you’re not understanding what you’re customers are saying or you need to hire some workers…. Duh

Not sure why they have “no ice” on the menu but then they hassle you and give you a smaller cup if you order “no ice”. Overpriced drinks anyway

Amazing place, so happy they are here and close by! Best coffee in Athens IMHO.

Inside was very clean and kept up, but my strawberry milk tea was not what you would expect. It doesn’t look or taste like it would usually, but it was still pretty good.

Was at the ups store right next to this place. My girlfriend and her daughter went here to use the bathroom as we were planning on buying bubble tea immediately after i was done. They use the bathroom and are at the counter and the lady is making a huge deal about them not being customers and using the bathroom. Was really looking forward to some taro milk tea but if a three year old using the bathroom is such a problem, i think ill just take my money back to bubble cafe.

My husband and I were in Athens for the day and as we were about to head back home, we decided we needed bubble tea for the road. We weren't interested in dealing with traffic and parking downtown, so we turned to Shake Tea. We weren't sure what to expect since they don't have a lot of reviews, but we were blown away! As self-proclaimed bubble tea connoisseurs, we can be a little picky, but we both agreed that we will revisit Shake Tea the next time we're in town! My husband got the house milk tea with boba and I got the strawberry matcha latte with boba and they were both delicious! Bonus points, the dining area and bathroom were both super clean! You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their tea shop, so give it a try - you won't regret it!

We recently visited Shake Tea while in the area for work and didn’t have an awesome visit. I have a dairy allergy and was told the milk teas were made with non dairy creamer and others who also have dairy allergies ordered it with no issue. This was not the case for me! If you do, in fact, have a dairy allergy, steer clear from the “non dairy” creamer in the milk teas unless you want your stomach torn up. Also, they charge an extra $2 per drink to have no ice. The drink itself cost $6.50 without the up charge, so that’s pretty wild that they would charge that much extra to not add ice. There is also nothing on their menu indicating this enormous up charge. The only reason I haven’t rated lower is because my husband enjoyed his drink (which he should have because it was almost the cost of a meal $8.50)

Loved it! Got hot black coffee with a little sugar for the husband, and the iced sea salt coffee, with a waffle, for myself. Tasted excellent and now we want to go back for more.

I had gotten one of their fruit teas with the popping bubbles. My favorite part was the real fruit they put in your drink. Worth it!!

Great drinks! Owner is very sweet. We love the oreo, mangonada, the cocoavocado coffee is amazing.
