Shout out to the Homies! Super excited for Sips to be roasting their own beans. Had the CostaRican drip with an ounce of honey and it was excellent. No bitterness, nutty and really opened up some nice melon fruit flavors with a little sweetness. Keep up the hard work and good vibes y’all.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options

After almost 10 years of living in Athens, I finally got a coffee at this place since I was in the area. I ordered a small iced latte with vanilla syrup. I know coffee that is not plain coffee has gotten expensive, but I was charged $6, and it was mediocre. Definitely not worth the splurge.

Sips is my favorite Athens coffee shop. I'm going on 10 years and keep coming back. The enclosed indoor seating is the best in town. The scones, pastries and breads are really

Great atmosphere. The staff has always been very friendly and the snacks are good. What I love most is that you get to choose between 1000 Faces or Jittery Joe's. Everyone has their favorite so this is the best place to meet someone.Update: The now also roast their own coffee (offsite) and it is fantastic. The service is still amazing. I still go there several times a week. The owners are very friendly and they seem to always find kind, courteous and hardworking employees.I hear people say they don't go there much because of the parking. If you are just stopping in to grab a coffee to go, there is no problem parking in an Agua Linda space. It is only difficult if you go during dinner time on a busy night. If you plan to hang out, just go between meal times and you shouldn't have any problems. I have been there hundreds of times and 100% of the time I was driving. Also if you are approaching from downtown you can grab a metered space on Prince and park all day for free. The meters don't work. They haven't been used in at least a decade.

I love Sips. Its fresh coat of pink paint is incredibly cute, and they make great mochas. Going there is slightly weather-dependent because they only have outdoor seating. The baristas know what they're doing, which isn't always the case.

I am a coffee lover, and I tried this place, but the coffee was terrible; I could not drink it.

I had an early appointment at Piedmont cardiology this morning. Since I am definitely not a morning person I felt like a cup of good coffee would be a great idea. There’s a little coffee shop right across from the hospital, so I decided to drop in there and give them a try.The young man working the counter was very helpful discussing the menu. I don’t know much about different kinds of coffees so I always have to ask about them before I order. I opted for a medium latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup. I was glad they had the sugar-free vanilla as many coffee shops that I’ve gone to were always out of it. I guess it’s a popular flavor.Sips had quite a few in-house baked sweets. There were so many yummy looking options; it was hard to choose. The young man recommended the zucchini bread; said it was probably the most popular thing they offered. I ended up buying myself a lemon blackberry scone to have with my coffee plus a fat slice of zucchini bread and an apple scone to take home. Sips has a covered patio out front and another patio on the side. They don’t really have indoor seating although the covered patio out front could be enclosed in the winter for a seating area. I sat outside and enjoyed the morning sun with my scone and my coffee. The coffee was delicious and the scone was wonderful.I don’t get out this way all that often, but when I do, I’m going to stop at Sips again. They have good stuff.

The study budy cold brew is soooo good. This place is way better than your average local coffee shop

This is one of my go-to coffee shops, especially when I have my dog with me. The coffee is great, as well as a lot of the baked goods, and I love the outdoor atmosphere and walk up window. The people working there are always friendly as well!
