This specific location is the worst Sonic in Athens. It says they’re closed when they’re not, they randomly close the stalls and make you go to the drive thru when they are open, they’re constantly out of things, and the service is awful. I liked my tots though. 10/10 not going back.

Ordered a shake it was 98 percent whipped cream 1 percent strawberry and 1 percent cherry on top. No ice cream at all at $4.50 I would have really liked the shake part .

Very disappointed with our service at sonic. They didn't put any ice in our drinks, and when we asked for a cup of ice because we didn’t get any in our drinks they made us pay for it. My drink also had strawberries at the bottom that were fermented and tasted like gasoline. When we got home, the bacon on the burgers were basically raw. The food was not good at all and with being pregnant this was a huge health risk. Absolutely disgusting. Do not go here.

Until yesterday I would have rated this place higher; I've been coming here for years since moving to Athens. But yesterday I ordered a chicken sandwich meal, took it home, got 3 bites into it and got a mouthful of raw chicken. I took it and the receipt back to the store and was given $3 dollars and some change back, and was told that I couldn't have the whole meal refunded because I didn't bring it back to the store. The meal that I couldn't eat because I got 3 bites in and vomited. I'm a manager at different restaurant - I know it's a pain to work with displeased customers, but if I ever sent out raw *anything* I would refund the customer's meal immediately upon being presented with the food in question. Especially chicken. I was obvious shaken and disgusted with the experience, sought a solution politely, and was firmly shut down for a simple refund?? For serving raw *chicken* of all things? It's bad cooking, bad customer service, and an all-around bad way to end my night. This place is fine, when the thing that can give you salmonella is cooked correctly. Eat at your own risk.
Expect to wait in the drive through. I waited behind a car for 5 minutes and they weren’t taking orders and the pull up locations. I pulled up to the drive through initially then when I got tired of waiting I went to a pull up spot and got told drive thru only. If it can’t operate at a decent pace it needs to close. Won’t return.

This is the worst food establishment in Athens. Sonic drive in is not available and they are drive through only. The sign in the drive through does not light up at night so you can’t even see what there is to order. The shake machine never works. And the outside looks like a homeless camp or trap house.

Waiting at the drive thru speaker for 15 minutes. No one took my order I push the call button and no one answered. I drove around the back and the back door was wide open but, no employee's around. I left and took my business somewhere else.
