10/20/2025. After my visit to the eye doctor we treated ourselves to the South Kitchen. Our waitress was very pleasant and poised. We had a hamburger (cooked perfectly - 5 Stars) and a Fried Green Tomato Sandwich which was delicious - 5 Stars). Beautiful building. Hope you enjoy my pictures. Very relaxing place to go. Hope you will give them a try!

Amazing food! Would come back to Atlanta just for this place!

After multiple visits, we haven't order anything we didn't like. The duck fat tater tots and pimento cheese are must-haves every time.

Great place with excellent food. They have expanded their space, surely due to popularity. The additional space feels a little disconnected and isolated from the vibe of the main part of the restaurant. I would ideally dine in the main area next time. Everything else was great though.

Oct. 2023 - We reserved the back room for a group of 30 people. The service is always excellent and the food is incredible! Somehow even large groups get served together. The shrimp, grits, and greens are insane good! We'll definitely be back!

NEW REVIEW (10/6/25) - yet again, another incredible group dinner at South Kitchen, utilizing the back room. Calley Payne (their event planner and manager) is gracious and friendly, support supportive and easy to work with. Their senior bar tender is great at making and suggesting all kinds of drinks. The shrimp and grits and duck fat tater tots are incredible! Our whole group just loves this restaurant - the ambiance, the service, and the food are all AMAZING and super consistent! We will be back!

Love South Kitchen!!! Visited last week and had Erin as our server. She was the absolute BEST!!! So much so that when I had to attend another conference this week, I had to go back and visit again! She is so knowledgeable of the history of the building, the food, and just simply how to take care of her guests! Go visit South Kitchen & Erin…you won’t regret it!

South Kitchen + Bar is a great spot in a cool historic building. The shishito hush puppies were a standout, and I also really enjoyed the Caesar salad and the shrimp and grits.

Excellent Southern food with a flair. I highly recommend the tater tots. They are soooooooo good we didn't use any of the sauces. It was all really good. I'm definitely going back because there's still several things on the menu I'd like to try.
