Food is pretty good for a faster taco spot, definitely try their pomegranate margarita and the quesadillas. Grayson took care of us and was so on point and friendly, he definitely made our dinner memorable and deserves a shoutout, he said he had just started and I was shocked because he was so knowledgeable and caring! For sure a good downtown spot for quick casual eats

I had an absolutely wonderful time at this Taco Mama. Not only was the food amazing, but the workers accommodated my gluten allergy, and I did not experience a reaction from the food. Please go here, the workers are so kind!! A special shout-out to Khaili; he was so sweet and made sure to frequently check on us.

While traveling for work, I stopped in and enjoyed Taco Mamas quite a few times. The staff was always amazing and friendly, the food was excellent and I thought the margaritas were the best in town! 1/2 price House Margaritas and Skinny Margaritas on Tuesday evening… and the “Build your own” Taco Salad… my favorites. I would recommend the Poke Taco as well.

This is a partial outdoor spot, so it's not great for daytime temps. The tacos came with pickles (which I hate) that I thought I'd just pick of, but they were DICED!? I managed to scoop almost all of them off, but never had pickels in street tacos. Otherwise it was good, the guac was delicious. The watermelon marg was good but hard to drink with all the blended watermelon and a tiny straw, lol! Staff checked on us regularly.
Taco Mama is located on the corner of Washington St and Lumpkin in downtown Athens. Very cute area with a nice patio for outdoor seating. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and asked if we'd been there before. We hadn't so we were given menus, and she explained the items to us and how to order. We placed our order at the counter and our food was brought out in no time. It's called Taco Mama, so my daughter and I stuck to tacos. I had one shredded beef and one chicken taco, and my daughter had tuna tacos. They were served with a generous amount of delicious chips and salsa, and the many choices of toppings are free. They also have burritos, quesadillas and nachos. Service was great and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return.

we ate at Taco Mama for lunch today. The staff was so nice. the service was excellent. The cook created a delicious meal for us. The food is so fresh tasting. We will definitely be back again.
