Taqueria Tsunami

My favorite spot, food is consistently delicious. I’ve sampled everything. On the menu and everything is so good.

My family and I went to taqueria tsunami a little over a week ago. I have been contemplating on wether or not to do this review but I can’t just let it go. We eat here on a regular basis and service is always hit or miss but never great. This time around was the worst. We ordered the calamari as a starter and then order a few dishes after. Everything was ok for the most part until we found a worm on one of the fried calamari. There was no way that wasn’t a worm. I really want to say it was parasitic worm. It was long and white and I was in such shock that I couldn’t even think about taking a picture of it at the time. We did bring it up to the waitress and supposedly she went to tell her manager but manager never showed up. I thought that was funny considering usually manager approval is needed to remove a dish from a ticket but ok. All that was done was the calamari got taken of the ticket. No explanation. No apology or anything. In fact waitress never came back to the table after. I think that was a very pathetic way of dealing with this situation. We didn’t want anything comped or free but we were treated as if we brought the worm on and placed it on our meal. Needless to say we didn’t fuss we didn’t even finish eating. We payed and left. It was truly disappointing the way our visit was handled. They couldn’t even take the time to make things right with at least an apology or to get to the bottom of why the hell a worm made it in our food.

It was a great experience from walking through the door!! Except the side of bean/rice, the bowl was over packed, dry and not tasty like the tacos.

We were pleasantly impressed with this fun concept. Everything we ordered was properly prepared and fresh. The food was tasty and appropriately portioned. The service was good and the atmosphere was youthful and fun. Loved the red pendant lights.

We love the food here but damn, EVERY single time , no joke, we are always missing an item when ordering through Uber Eats. By the third time, I called and complained and the mod was very apologetic and even comped us a future meal. We’ve ordered after so many times just because and it never fails that we are always missing something. I don’t know why we keep putting ourselves through this. idk who the expediter is who checks Uber Eats orders but you should really look for a different job…
Tonight we were missing a side item that is clearly listed on the receipt hanging from the bag…

Great mix of Latin Asian cuisine! Service was excellent as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant for all groups of customers!

13 of us just had dinner at your Epps Bridge Location. We sat outside on your wonderful patio. Our server, Alyx did a great job! Always had a smile and everything came out delicious and in a very timely manner. Irvine, the manager, came out several times to check on us and always had a cheerful disposition. 3 of us arrived there early and had a drink at the bar. The bartender was very helpful, knowledgeable and I felt like she just loved being there.
All of the staff, from the hostesses and the food runners were professional and friendly!! Kudos to you all! Patty

I haven’t been to this restaurant since they initially opened, but I was extremely disappointed in the poke bowl I ordered. The tuna was so so light in color and tasteless. Besides the Jalapeño in the bowl that was the only flavor the bowl it had. It definitely needs higher quality fish and more flavor overall! Something to elevate it!

I really enjoyed this place, and I will definitely be back! The food was delicious! The service was a tad slow, but our service was attentive and friendly and food arrived quickly. I wish the menu was a little more descriptive or had more pictures, but that was just because I was new to the restaurant. I already know what I'm ordering next time!
