Pretty decent beer, but was expecting a bit more of a crowd. Not much happening.. no live music, no events, just games on the tv. Honestly, a let down.

We approached Terrapin and noticed a large parking lot, which made things easy. We found a space pretty quickly and walked over to the property. We could see that they had a Día de los Muertos festival going on. We found the main entrance and stepped inside. I was thrown off at first by how empty and quiet it was. The first thing I noticed was a small souvenir shop near the front. We continued to walk in a little farther and found the main bar area with all the taps lined up and the wall covered in signs listing their rotating beer selections. We asked the staff behind the counter if they offered flights. Although they don't do traditional flights, they do have a special where you could choose six 6-ounce pours and you get to keep your choice of Terrapin glassware. Wifey and I each picked three beers each from the rotating menu. We chose everything from a Wheat to a Stout. We scooped our beers and headed out to the outside seating area where the festival was in full swing. As we started sipping our beers, we enjoyed most of our choices and the great weather. Then a few bees started hanging around, and unfortunately, a couple even dove into our beers. I took them back inside, let the staff know what happened, and they replaced them right away with no hesitation. We hung out outside for a little while longer, finished our beers, and enjoyed the weather and festival activities. As we were leaving, I noticed a small stage setup. So I am sure they have live music here as well. Overall, a very good first visit to the Terrapin Brewery in Athens. We will definitely come back to try some other options.

If I could give more than five stars, I would! I came across this awesome beer company in my research for one of my clients, who does business in the Athens, GA market. I wanted to source a few local items to bring to my meeting/presentation to them, and came across these great stainless steel craft brew mugs they had. I ordered them to bring as gifts to my meeting, but got confused on the shipping timeline, and found out that they were going to be delivered to my address after I would've already headed to the airport. I contacted Terrapin's customer service, and immediately heard back, with them offering to overnight deliver the same order - AT NO CHARGE - to my hotel. They arrived in perfect time and they even threw in stickers and some bracelets in with the order, and I was able to add the gifts to my presentation. My clients loved everything about the presentation and these gifts, and when in Athens, they will be checking out this company! I can't WAIT to try their beer, and would definitely buy from them again! THANK YOU, Terrapin! :)

Amazing time!! Drew and his fellow bar tenders were more than accommodating as our rained out kids soccer tournament became a respite for the weary parents. Arrived on a Hawaiian Luau Saturday with live music, food, and $16 coupon stacks ($16=6 half pour samplers 😉 and a takeaway glass). Small town brewery feel in the middle of “Dawg” country. What else is there to say?!?

I’d prefer Creature Comforts. No hard feelin’s

Very cool place. Had great selection of beers. Heavy on the IPA’s and stouts very every one having an imperial version which I personally really liked. Also had a large separate swag area.

Literally love. Pleasantly surprised. We have held off on visiting this brewery for whatever reason, but it sounds like we started frequenting at the perfect time. Big fan of the beer, weekly activities, and taco tent outside! The al pastor were to die for. It’s looking like we might become regulars. Kudos to whoever is revamping this spot.

Great staff and great beer.

Nice bar with plenty of seating. Outside bar with stage, grassy area and picnic tables is a vibe in its own! Highly recommend!

Odd that on a Friday night, I was the only person in here other than two bartenders and the guy working the gift shop. But that meant that I could enjoy my beer and do some laptop stuff in peace.

The seating area in Terrapin is large with plenty of tables, a bar area and counter seating around. Lots of different beers on tap that are brewed on site and they were tasty. I had two and enjoyed both before packing up and heading on. If you're looking for snacks, there's a snack machine by the restrooms. An inexpensive small bag of Cheez-Its went nicely with the beer.

Terrapin lands somewhere between a micro and macro brewery. I've had their beers all about so it was nice to pick up a fridge magnet for my collection. I'd love them to resume the brewery tours because that's always a good time.

Very chill and comfortable place to drink beers. Granted we visited during winter break, so no students.

Just don't think about working here. One of the worst places I have ever worked ever. The brewers were overworked and not paid well which resulted in some moody hostile brewers to work with. So glad I moved on from this place.

Your beer sucks, invest in good ingredients.

Solid brewery! Ample seating in a nice clean space. The staff is friendly and the restrooms are clean. The live music for tonight was great! There were only a few of us inside but they were a fun bunch. Good amount of parking out front and had no trouble finding a spot. I’m not sure where you'd park though if this place was packed. You walk right into the gift shop when you enter, and the taproom is directly to the left. Overall, a solid experience made more enjoyable by the clientele and music at the time.
