This is a VERY special place. We frequent steakhouses in the Athens area and for some reason this location has eluded us until today. Our server Melanie was kind and caring. I noticed that this place was different when noticed that it had a family restroom and w a family member w disabilities, this goes a long way. Even the manager Kaitlin came over to check on us and I couldn't wait to acknowledge her for Melanie, the excellent food and this restaurant's atmosphere. Cannot recommend this place enough and we look forward to come back soon! UPDATE on my last visit on 2-8-2026 Came to pick up a to go order and I have to acknowledge Chassity for her patience in getting my order correct. The better this place get, tge better it gets. Never again Texas Roadhouse! Hair in my chicken! Had a good time dining in. Hardly ate my chicken because I had an appetizer and a salad so I brought it home to eat later. I take a bite of my chicken and immediately spit it out. The chicken was held on by hair!! So gross. Had to go vomit. Check your food if you decide to eat there. It was in the breading.

Thanks for ruining another special occasion, even though our large group was on the wait list. Management would not clean an empty table so a large group could sit together. After a few minutes, there were more empty tables that could have accommodated our group, but management still would not seat our group together.

I haven't eaten at this chain before. We only had an hour to eat on Monday 2pm. We were able to order, and eat in that amount of time. Our server was excellent. The restaurant looked clean. I willconsider going back.

Had a good night at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday but the service was amazing!! Restaurant was completely packed but our server Cassie was so attentive! I had to send my steak back but she was so kind about it and the manager Nelle was great! Best experience I’ve had at a TRH.

Let me start my by saying I should have never cheated on longhorn. It sucks when you work in the industry and you don’t get the same service you provide.
First red flag. Manager came to our table after us being there for five minutes with no plates, no silverware, no bread, and no drinks and asked how our experience is…..
As a manager in the industry that’s were worse thing you can do. That should have been a red flag that her server needed help. I’m not even mad at our server Cassie it was clear she was in the weeds. I’m mad the manager didn’t read the room and help her overwhelmed server. She wanted to make sure she got her stats of visiting every table without using that to enhance experience. She touched a table too early to be able to tell her distract manager she touched every table that night. You always are suppose to wait for food to hit the table to ask about experience of the establishment.
If she was going to arrive to the table early it should have been to take a drink order or offer bread or plates or anything missing.
We went 12 mins minutes without drinks. And 30 without plates, silverware and bread. We sat for so long that the server recognized that during the time of our drink order and took our entire order.
She knew we wanted breaded but was so overwhelmed to get in that direction.
The server behind us but dirty baskets and napkins on the ledge of the booth which then fall on me and disgusted.
She tried to recover and at this point I let her know I was ready to walk out. She grabbed us breaded and assisted her section buddy. But she did indeed tell us she was going to grab us silverware and plates and didn’t. Between two servers and a manager we couldn’t receive plates and silverware.
When they arrived I had a dirty plate and napkin. I know a little mad doesn’t come out the dishwasher and clean the man but when you grab plates you spot check for that and you wipe them dry. Also the napkins comes from a company I get that but your team choose to roll that silverware with a dirty napkin and then choose to bring toan already upset table.
My server was so busy I never had a chance to say it was my finance birthday. When I explain to the section buddy of my server she never relayed that to my server. But what REALLY top this off for me and that the manager was told I was upset and she walked past my table at least 4 times with my clearly angry face and NEVER stopped to talk to us. Never heard me out never tried to recover this experience.
This was the worst handled Saturday night restaurant life.

Used to love this location. The last few times have been very disappointed . Last night was my last visit. Steak was not cooked to order . I sent it back and it came back chewy and tough. The service is not good anymore and just all the way around bad experience. Will try another location but will not be back to Athens ..

Pretty good food, and I say pretty good bc our shrimp was cold , sent it back and they returned cold, rolls were super tiny. SMH. They were pretty busy but no clean glasses is poor management. However, Excellent service once everything was corrected. Prices are good, around $60 for the 2 of us and we had 6 oz steaks. We meet another couple for date night, it was hard to talk to each other bc of the noise level but we had a good time.

We visited here on Saturday 1/11/26. The food and service were great like it always is. It was definitely crowded with a wait time of over an hour for a group of six. Definitely recommend the tater skins and the boneless wings off the appetizer list. The NY strip, pork chops, and country fried chicken with gravy are all excellent meal choices as well.
