Came here after a game and was seated right away. The service is what made our visit so special. Every server and the manager was so kind and had the best vibe. We ordered pad see ew and parang curry both with chicken. They were some of the best we've ever had and the portions were perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Great little spot in Athens, GA. Better food than some of the high priced Thai restaurants in Atlanta. We will definitely go back when in Athens. My daughter ordered green curry Salmon that was excellent ?
Parking: We found street parking, but paid parking garage are available.

I came here on a date night with my husband and it did not disappoint! The Thai dumplings were an amazing appetizer. For dinner, I had spicy Thai noodles and my husband had spicy basil roasted duck. Both entrees were delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Very nice Thai restaurant in the heart of downtown Athens. Some interesting, unique dishes like fried tofu or avocado rolls wrapped in rice paper. Entrees are large and tasty.
Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. Ask your server if you have questions. Be aware that soups and curries have fish sauce, but that is common for Thai restaurants. Noodle and rice-based dishes are a good bet.

Absolutely delish! My husband got the suki and had plenty of fresh calamari in it. I figured that because it had three different meats, it would lack on each item but I really wanted a good amount of calamari in it so I could have some and I ended up liking his dish! I ordered the pad thai shrimp and of course it was delicious as usual.

I went in for a solo meal as I'm at a work training and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly, but not in an overbearing way. My server provided some nice conversation and was very helpful with suggestions, even with vegetarian options. Speaking of which those were amazing, they had tofu and suigai(I think this is another word for seitan). That's what I had in my spicy noodles and it was so good.
It definitely has a hole in the wall, family run vibe in a good way. The AC was not working so good when I went, but hey that's part of local places sometimes.
For dessert I got the mango sticky rice and it was not cheap at $9, but they also give you a big portion so no complaints there.
Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes come with tofu or seitan as protein options so everything but a few specialty dishes are vegetarian friendly and many would be vegan friendly as well.

I visited Thai Spoon for a to-go order during lunch. When I arrived there, I paid with cash; the cashier asked if I would like to leave a tip, and I responded no. She became upset and put my remaining funds on the counter instead of back in my hand. I asked her why she put the money on the counter and not back in my hand, and she looked at me like it was ok and I was making a big deal. Also, when I got back to my office to drink on my can of Sprite, it was so HOT it wasn't even cold. It gets worse… I opened my order; the spring roll was cold, I found hair in the soup, and the rice was burnt! I will NEVER go back to this place again!!!

As a resident of Monroe my exact mileage to Thai Spoon is 21.7. Have I ever been disappointed in making the trip for lunch at this unique restaurant? Never! When I have errands or medical appointments in Athens I schedule them around lunch. Arriving early parking is seldom a problem. Why would I make the trip as often as I do? It is my favorite restaurant, hands down!! Not only is the food delicious, I am transported to a place far away while dining.
