it was pretty empty when we came. the pho is a bit pricey but the portions are really big and generous with the meat! i really like the beef pho. my partner did not enjoy the chicken pho, so wouldn’t recommend that one. but my broth was definitely the best one i’ve found in athens and tasted the most authentic. honestly beef is the only meat that belongs in pho imo anyways, so i would def come back!

I went there this past Saturday night and got the name your own combo with the fried basket items. My fried flounder had an horrible odor to it, literally was almost making me gag. I’ve been a fish eater all my life and I well aware that fish should not smell that way. I also noticed they had a 80/B for their inspection score as I was eating and the taste/quality of the food sure reflected that. I will not be returning and the price doesn’t match the quality.

I’ve been to Vietnam and when I tell you this is the best beef noodle soup I’ve ever had in my life! We also got the Vietnamese chicken noodle bowl and it was equally as impressive. It was one of those meals I won’t be able to stop thinking about. Planning on coming back and trying some more of the menu!

We were excited that there’s a place that sells Vietnamese food on the east side. The food is ok. The pho is greasy but tasty. The meat has a ton of fat on it and we peel it off all the pieces. They often forget the egg roll when I order the egg roll and pork vermicelli dish. Dishes are on the pricey side and the waits are always substantially longer than they say. Last time I waited an hour and a half for my food. The hostess wrote in the book that I’d get 30% off this time (and it was there in the book with my name). When I came back and asked about it, they wouldn’t honor it and the management said they were too busy to even talk to me. So we’ve been pretty frequent customers because my kids like the food, but that is unfortunately our last straw and it will be the last time we are going there.

I am so sad because I was really looking forward to trying this place out! I had seen the reviews but, I also know things can change. Sadly, that was not the case for me. I did not even get a chance to eat my food either!
Before I even get into what I ordered: this place was trying to sell a basket of 12 wings for $24 and a half dozen for $12. I would recommend wing stops before this place because this isn’t even including fries and a drink. I originally ordered 12 wings and fried mushrooms but when the waitress read $30+ out to me, I had to make a full stop and ask what the hell was I paying for? After she explained “oh I guess the prices were updated”, that raised another red flag because she seemed to not know anything about the changes.
Moving on, I ended up ordering fried mushrooms and a half dozen basket of dressed wings. After waiting about 25 mins, I received nearly burnt fried mushrooms and half done wings (photos included).
Thankfully, I was smart enough to check before leaving the parking lot and I brought the food back inside. I got a refund but the waitress working didn’t even ask what was wrong and when the owner/manager came to talk to me about it, it just seemed rushed. She offered to remake it but after waiting almost a half hour, I just asked for the money back. I hate to say it but this place has a lot to improve on.
I don’t recommend. I’m sorry

Not overly impressed overall. The place was empty, so of course the service was great. The crabs were clean even to the cluster and easy to pull out whole pieces. The extras were much to be desired though. And I'm not so sure mixing "Cajun" and Japanese cuisine is a good idea.

Me and a couple of co workers went for lunch and have a bad experience the food wasn't that good and the manager on duty was horrible she charged us $2.50 for a 12oz Publix cola not even a coca cola and when we tried to talk her about it we felt like she didn't care about our experiences at her restaurant so we
decided that we will not be going back

This isn’t what we remember the Crab Hut being like. We ordered fried seafood, and it was just so over fried. We’ve had Crab Hut in the past and it was much better. We might have had a better time if we ordered off of the newer side of the menu, but I don’t think the current owners have a lot of experience with fried seafood/ Cajun. The hush puppies were small and lacking flavor. They also didn’t have common fried seafood condiments like malt vinegar. They had no idea what I was asking for. The Crab Hut we used to go to had it and knew what cajun and fried seafood should look like. Also, the waitresses were on their phones a lot, so it was hard to get their attention for things like the check. They were also arguing with customers on the phone in the small dining room, so that was kind of awkward. We probably wouldn’t go back for the fried seafood.
