This is my go to place in Athens. Always has great food, great drinks and service is always top notch. It can get a little loud depending on the night but other than that I highly recommend eating here for a nice dinner.

Was highly recommended so thought we’d give it a try. My husband and I showed up 10 minutes after opening (5:10). Upon entering we made our way to the bar (which was open) and was quickly approached by the host explaining that the bar was full from reservations and if we wanted to stay we would have be be gone by 6:15. Definitely need a more professional way to address new guests but we decided to stay anyways and glad we did because Romie was FANTASTIC! She definitely made up for it! 4 bourbon cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer, 3 entrees (because we needed to try the risotto) and a dessert and our bill was $200. Money well spent! Thank you Romie for an awesome experience and service. We’ll definitely be back! Parking and greeting was the only reason for the 4 stars!

Had been here a couple of years back and thought it was decent but not a place I’d try to come back soon to. Then I kept hearing rumors that it’s improved so I decided to come by. Turns out the rumors were true. Definitely better than how I remember it.Didn’t order too much but enjoyed what we did. Some dishes were nice and inspired, for example, the strawberry bruschetta. The other dishes were nice too.

Gave away our reservations and made us wait… so why did you take our reservation then?really disappointing because I had a great time previously, but this isn’t how you run a restaurant. please do better and make sure RESERVE for RESERVATIONS.

Kirsten recommended excellent wine and meals service, but chose the wrong attire an ruined our whole evening. I mean seriously I couldn’t focus on all the tasty food with her cardigan tucked into her jumper while churning out drinks like a rockstar. Just kidding. This place never disappoints and the people are fantastic.

We visited during the "Miracle" Christmas time, and the place was certainly festive. Our server, Noah, was enthusiastic. The seasonal drink selection was impressive and everything we tasted was enjoyable. The wine/beer selection was disappointing, and the food seemed overpriced, but the ambiance was pleasant and mostly quiet enough to have a conversation. Parking is a challenge.

Over priced. Mediocre wine selection. They served a white wine in a huge red wine glass with a small portion. Presentation of food is boring for how expensive. Sorry there are at least five other restaurants in town at this price level that deserves a five star review.

The team at The Expat went above and beyond to make sure we had an exceptional night. We had a party of 30 people and they made it seem like a breeze. Molly and Kiersten were attentive and kind and somehow balanced ensuring everyone always had a fresh drink, getting food out quickly, and taking pics and videos for us. The food was absolutely phenomenal! The artichokes and the red snapper are two of the best dishes I’ve had in my life. I’ll be dreaming about them for years to come. Thank you, Trent, for setting up the entire upstairs for us, and Molly and Kirsten for making parents weekend so special!

We used to love this place and have had enjoyable experiences in the past. However, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. We decided to start with the MUSSELS small plate as an appetizer, along with the SAFFRON MAFALDE. Unfortunately, soon after we got home, all of us suffered from severe food poisoning.Adding to the disappointment, the atmosphere was far from pleasant. As mentioned in other reviews, the excessive noise made it difficult to hold a conversation, even with the person sitting across from you. The restaurant's hard surfaces seemed to amplify the noise, creating an unpleasant dining environment.Although the waitress was friendly, none of us from the group will ever consider coming back to this restaurant, given its high prices, disappointing food quality, and loud atmosphere.

For gluten free diners like me, try the pasta. Homemade gluten free. It blew me away.
