I recently visited The Local 706 and had a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered the Classico Tacos and the Asian Tacos. Presentation-wise, both dishes looked fantastic. However, the Classico Tacos were a bit of a letdown as they had almost no flavor, even after adding some salsa. On the other hand, the Asian Tacos were bursting with flavor but were unfortunately very greasy. On the positive side, the portion sizes were decent for the price, and the service was good. The waitress was fairly attentive, and our food was brought out fairly quickly, which I appreciated. One thing to note is the parking situation. There is limited parking in the front, but there is more parking available in the back, so don't be discouraged if you don't find a spot right away. Overall, my experience at The Local 706 was okay. I think with a few tweaks to the dishes, it could be a great spot. I might give it another try in the future to see if there are any improvements.

Overall not good. To start we were Seated at dirty table which no one seemed to want to clean. Service slow. Room temperature fries. Inedible dry rub wings. Hamburger soggy and med bowl meh. We live in the hood and are one and done.

I realized after dinner my bacon BBQ burger did not have bacon or BBQ. The food tasted fine but the margaritas were not good. The poor woman at the table next to us waited over 30 minutes for her drink. I liked my server. She was good, but the overall bar service was bad.

I have friends visiting from Asia who want a "culinary tour" of Athens, so this was the stop for the sports bar experience. The burgers and fries here are amazing, but we'd done that the day before and they wanted to try other things and asked me to order for them. So . . . Deep-fried deviled eggs as we were seated, sweet potato chips appetizer (ooey-gooey), portobello fries, 3 different wings with fantastic sauces (crispy outside, tender inside), buffalo chicken sliders, and a gratuitous fresh house salad - so beautiful - to make us feel a little less guilty (NOT!). We 3 ladies, and an 8-yr-old focused on whatever basketball ? game was on one of many screens, ate all the food. ALL THE FOOD! In the middle of the day! And shared a slice of Jack's cheesecake. They took a ridiculous number of photos of the food and have not stopped talking about it.

This is for all my vegetarians!! I have an allergy where I can’t eat red meat. When I went here and asked about their beyond burger I was informed they cook the burgers on the same grill as the regular burgers. The waitress then told me that everything but what is made in the fryer is cross contaminated. So if you are vegetarian/vegan or have an allergy like me please be cautious here.Their fries were really good tho and the waitress was nice and I appreciate her honesty with the cross contamination issues in their kitchen.Vegetarian options: All will be cross contaminated.

Been coming here at least once during every visit to Athens. The food is consistently great from the fried deviled eggs (must have) to the burgers to the bowls. Great atmosphere and service is always top notch.
