I came here last night for my birthday. It was a party of 5. We sat upstairs but I thought it was a bit strange that the hostess didn’t walk us to our table and instead described which table it was upstairs that we were supposed to sit at and left us to go upstairs from there. The bartender served us and the service was great from there and he was very attentive all while serving the guests at the bar. We ordered the fried veggies as our appetizer and sadly this was the only warm thing we got to eat all night. The food tasted good but I’m sure it would’ve been much better if it wasn’t room temperature and actually warm..I hope it’s better next time but this was disappointing.
There was live music and everything tasted amazing. I have had many a breakfast burrito in my time but this was both unique and delicious.

We were a party of 8 that came with no reservation on a busy holiday weekend. The maitre d estimated a 45 minute wait to be seated and we decided to stay. We were given updates about every 15 minutes and indeed got seated by a very pleasant waiter right @ the 45 minute mark. The waiter was very knowledgeable and the food came out soon after we ordered. Everyone agreed that the food was fantastic! I had the steak and eggs but others had waffles and French toast. I have to mention, DO NOT FAIL to get their peach muffins! I usually do not go for sweets but these were WONDERFUL. We will definitely be coming here again soon!

We got lucky last night and discovered The Place! Love the small intimate setting. Last night was quite busy and we did not have a reservation. Fortunately, our hostess checked upstairs at the bar and found 2 open seats! We both got the grilled chicken & pimento cheese sandwich (it was great!) and I got grits on the side. Got to enjoy some college football on the tv's. We got some top shelf service from Alex at the bar, thank you! We will be back! I highly recommend The Place for your next night out in Athens.

Kid-friendliness: We took our two. There weren't any other kids there, though. The girls shared chicken and waffles with fruit. The kitchen split it before they brought it out. That was nice as we were sitting at a four top in the center, and it would have been difficult to do myself.
My daughter and I stopped in here visiting the house University of Georgia from Waco, TX and must say we really enjoyed the atmosphere here, the wait was short, Service was excellent and food was really good. We had breakfast and it was on point! Highly highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat. Definitely two thumbs up.
