Food was good, but the service was non existent. The waitress acknowledged us but refused to bring drinks or take our order. Instead she refilled the ice, restocked the frig, took a break and walked around aimlessly. We had to get another waiter to get our drinks and tried to move tables to get away from the waitress. We sat at the table for over 30 min before she spoke to us. If Amy is your waitress…run don’t walk to anywhere else.

Whoever was working tonight, they were very nice HOWEVER, I made a to go order and they put all of the orders of bacon and sausage together in one container. I am HIGHLY allergic to sausage. Ontop of that they tied the bag in a way that the top container kept falling over and I couldnt get it in time to no mix the food and the tie came undone. Ruined my night :) thanks for nothing waffle house 441

You must experience the Waffle House when one is available for you. Last year while we were visiting Athens, we tried stopping at a local Waffle House but it was closed for dine in. The following day we got take out from the Waffle House. To be honest, it wasn't all that good. Maybe cause it was take out, it got cold on the way home or it just wasn't prepared right. Or maybe the food would have tasted better if we had eaten it there.
This Waffle House is right across the street from where we are staying for our trip. We wanted an easy breakfast to hold us over till we had lunch. So we stopped in to get some goodies.
The venue isn't the cleanest, it looks run down. Your basic greasy spoon. Walking in, you kinda expect it to look the way it does. We were instantly greeted and was told to pick a table. We sat next to the big windows at a booth. I would have loved to sit at the breakfast bar to get the whole experience but my father in law wanted a booth. Menus were already on the table so we checked out what kind of goodies they had.
Our sweet waitress got drinks started for us. After drinks were dropped off, food orders were taken. I got an egg with a side of chicken sausage patties. My husband and father in law shared a waffle breakfast that came with eggs, toast, bacon and grits.
My egg was fried perfectly. The yolk was still kinda jammy which was perfect for my toast. The chicken sausage was different. It was kinda hard and a little dry. The flavor was there but the texture was tough. The waffle was so good! We loaded that baby up with butter and syrup. I like how thin it is. The waffle was the best combination of sweet and savory.
Being from Idaho, I only got to watch crazy videos about the Waffle House on Tik Tok. I'm happy I got to experience a meal here. The staff was super friendly. From the wait staff to the chefs, they all thanked us for coming in. I know it's not the cleanest or most expensive breakfast joint I have been to but they whipped up a good meal and a friendly face served it. Hopefully I can get one more waffle in before we head home.

This was our first Waffle House experience and we loved it! Our server Ms V made us feel right at home, and the food was excellent. I got the hash brown bowl with sausage, egg and cheese, and I'm obsessed with this classic breakfast. There's something for the whole family. ❤️

Great service every time we go. The cooks played the Waffle House songs on the jukebox last time we was there. It was hilarious. If you don't get the best service on your visit, go easy. Its Waffle House. Those folks earn their living. You gotta be tough to work at WaHo.
