I BELIEVE AN EMPLOYEE CHARGED ME A SHOT AND SHE TOOK IT AT THE BAR AFTER SHE CLOCKED OUT.I’ve been walkers plenty. It’s a college spot for sure so you know what you’re getting. But I was recently SCAMMED by here. I believe the bartender/barista charged a shot onto my account, clocked out, and took the shot while sitting at the bar after her shift.I ordered a few beers and a coffee for my girlfriend. The tab I got back when I went to pay didn’t make sense for the amount so I asked the bartender which had changed from shift change. He then asked the bartender who helped me, and she said I don’t know what you’re talking about but didn’t help figure it out just minded her own business. The bartender then made me pay the full incorrect payment of the tab, for the shot I didn’t even take (the employee definitely took it) and then made me pay for the corrected tab after the fact. He said he voided the first tab but it was already charged so I had to pay both but the first one would be refunded within a few days and if not to call them and figure it out. Guess what ? Didn’t get refunded. I called the place 19 times, and got put to voicemail everytime. I don’t live in Athens, was simply visiting as a stop on my return from Spring Break towards my college. So what am I to do now ? I currently paid 50 bucks for a few beers and a coffee ! PBRs are $3.50 for reference lol.Again, I know this is a college bar but I cannot stand when someone does something morally wrong. Not that hard to be a good person. For sure made me lose my respect for this place. Would not recommend for customer service at all as you can read from other comments. Plenty of other spots that have beer, coffee, and dry pastries in Athens that serve you with a little human compassion. Again, I BELIEVE THE EMPLOYEE CHARGED ME A SHOT THAT SHE TOOK.

This is a great little pub right in the center of athens. It is close to everything and has great cocktails and beers, as well as coffees, teas, and ciders. Scotty runs the place and is incredibly friendly and sweet. They offer free WiFi and great suggestions. It is definitely the best place to meet up with friends or colleagues if you are in downtown athens.

Such a cozy vibe, perfect for a chill coffee/beer and late night studying on a weekday or grabbing a drink with friends on a night out. I love the warm, wood booths and the staff are gruff but take good care of you. An Athens standby.

Some of the rudest employees in Athens that I've ever encountered. The last time I went there I walked up to order and the lady did not even acknowledge me, just looked up with a stank face that should somehow imply she's ready for my order. Did not say a WORD after I ordered just walked away. Horrible atmosphere and extremely judgmental workers, and my latte was not very good either. I genuinely think there's a requirement that you have to be rude to work here.

I have been going to Walker's ever since it opened about 20 years ago and it has never lost its quintessential Athens personality. It is a chill spot with perfect location downtown that still looks the way it did when I was an undergrad. While the staff has obviously changed over time, I feel like they always get replaced with equally friendly people. I am so glad this place got embraced by generations of UGA students to become an Athens tradition and can't thank Walker's enough for the decades of memories it has given me.

Incredible!!! If you enjoy expresso or coffee drinks, an absolute must. Be prepared however that you will have an ID check. Gray hair and wrinkled skin not exempted?(Good for business!!) Loved the experience.

This is a very chill spot to hangout with your friend. If you are alone it a good place to sit and read a book or browse the internet. The bartenders were friendly and nice. They do not serve food, but you have options of drinks to choose from. It varies from teas to coffees to cocktails.

I come here pretty often to get work done. I'll be at a booth 5-8 hours sometimes. All the staff is always really nice and it's a great place to get work done. Once I started going to walkers, I have rarely been to another coffee shop. Coffee is good and pretty cheap too! Great vibes and ambiance if you like to study with other people and light noise around you.
