Finally a nice grownup spot to have a predinner cocktail! There are lovely restaurants but downtown has long been college-heavy. What I love most about Wayward is the diversity of entertainment. From Cabaret and burlesque, to amazing jazz pianists to acoustic guitarists and singers. They are not afraid BUT there are always parts of the night to slide in for a nice glass of wine or cocktail. The owners are smart enough to realize Athens is a music business town and make a bar that looks like one in L.A. The smell, aesthetic, and decor calm the patrons, and the Twin Peaks cocktail was well-priced and delicious. Excellent place to showcase small-scale performances.

This is also an excellent place to have your event. We were there Friday night while an event was going on and liked the place so much that we went back Saturday night as well. Saturday night was for the public and had a DJ and dancing. We closed down the bar
