Fantastic Southern food, with friendly service. Can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Athens!

Y'all hype everything up don't ya? First things first please know not to go to the register to place your order, you go there after you've been to the window on the left. The owner is a very busy man and "ain't got time, to wait on you to figure out what you want". Anyways after several sly comments my coworker and I ordered. Once we got back to the office, we dug in. The food was just ok, everything could have used a little more seasoning. The squash casserole had to be my fav!

Weaver D's reportedly offers great food, especially fried chicken. People rave about it on Yelp. Based on the rave reviews, I Ubered there from downtown Athens on a Saturday at about 1:00 p.m. only to find it closed despite the published business hours stating Weaver D's is open all day on Saturdays. What a disappointment. It was a complete waste of my time and my money (Ubering there and back). My best advice is to call ahead when you want to go to find out whether it's actually open or not - assuming they answer the phone when they're open. I'll give it another try when I'm in Athens again next year and update my review accordingly. For now, one star it is.

Weaver D's never disappoints. Back in town for a visit and you bet I made a point of stopping by. A great pace I could even take my vegetarian friends.

Excellent and authentic southern food. We had the pork chops and the fried chicken, along with collard greens and mac & cheese, and it was delicious! Not much of a dine-in place, but definitely a must try "to-go" while in Athens.

I just went earlier today. Words cannot express how delicious my food was. The atmosphere felt homey and cute, I was treated like family, though I've only been once. Fried Chicken was absolutely AMAZING, crispy, delicious, juicy, sent from heaven. They have really good cornbread muffins as well. I would highly recommend going there!Parking: When It's packed, IT'S PACKED- There is a conveniently placed parking garage across the road though. Don't know if it's free-Kid-friendliness: I'd say it's not only a kid-friendly spot, but I'd say it's a history lesson in itself, cuz It's been here for 37 years!Wheelchair accessibility: I might be a little bit difficult to get across the street-

Not sure what took me so long to try this place but I’m very happy. Great food and great people. These are the community staples we need to keep around as long as possible.

Great food. The Weaver D was there and made sure everything was great. Iconic Athens landmark worth the trip for the REM connection alone, but the food and service is the reason that we will return.

I was in town on business and was highly recommend this place for some soul food. The parking lot is small but street parking is always readily available. This is definitely a hole in the wall spot. Dining area is super small so you definitely need to catch them on a non busy time. I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken and my 2 sides were green beans and Mac and cheese. I got to say, the fried chicken was the best I have ever had in my life. The skin was crispy. The flavoring and seasoning was perfect on the inside. The the temperature of the chicken was sooo hot that it was amazing. The green beans and Mac and cheese was awesome as well. I had sweet tea and lemonade mixed and was just amazing! It was definitely a great home cooked meal! I highly recommend this place if your looking for some delicious fried chicken. I can't wait to come back again!

Walked several miles including a rather large hill to eat here. Hours say 11-6pm on Friday. It's 1:40pm but they are closed.
