They usually do a pretty good job with the food but they always give the wrong condiments or use cups that are literally leaking. In what world does ranch sound like zax sauce because apparently thats what it means at this place

I've been coming here for years. My food has always been great. I'm leaving a five star review though because the guy working drive through was really friendly. Doesn't sound like much but it's rare these days. Thanks, Dorian.

The employees here simply don’t care. Super long wait times even when it’s not busy. Something always missing from my order. Today I got a signature sandwich and the chicken was literally rock solid like whoever cooked it actually thought it was ok to serve to people. Also they hardly ever put any sauce on the food like they’re supposed to. Just dry, burnt and the taste of regret. Employees at this location are incompetent and don’t care about the quality of the service or food. Don’t spend your money here, the location in hull is far superior.

Worst zaxbys in Athens ever.
The workers are so lazy and they never have “anything”. The girls there always have an attitude too.

I try to be forgiving with fast food places but this location is not good. I only come once every few months as a cheat day and everytime is somehow a bad experience. They're slow and constantly out of things, considering I come so infrequently it's probably a management problem and not the regular employees but save yourself the frustration and go to one on the other side of town. Just sat in the drive through for over 20 minutes

This is the worst Zaxbys I have ever been to. I ordered a kicken chicken meal, and the bread was stale there wasn't enough sauce to cover the chicken, and the fries were hard as rocks with absolutely no seasoning. If you are craving Zaxbys go anywhere else.

Sevice OK. Food awful. The Texas toast was flat and hard and tasted burnt, not buttery. The frieds had ZERO seasoning. The only good tasting thing was the drink.

The staff is always pleasant and courteous. They seem to be short staffed and the staff that is there, is working so hard.A very polite young man name Myles, helped me with my order.Yes, they stay busy and the lines are long at times, but the food is never cold and always fresh.

It’s a very inconsistent location. Sometimes it can be great. Like hot, crispy, delicious with good quick service. Sometimes it’s like slow and cold. Probably 50/50 chance.

Out of all the zaxby’s locations in Athens the east side Barnett shoals location always impresses me on how they keep getting worse. The fries NEVER have seasoning on them and the chicken has become an over cooked mess barely edible most times. I came in for a simple big zax snack meal with an extra zax sauce. Not only did I get a meal that was overly cooked and mediocre at best. I didn’t even get my sauces.. I’ve tried to give the location the benefit of the doubt time and time again but when the service continues decline, it’s just worth driving to one of the other up to par locations

The worst service I have ever experienced. The girl giving us our food was extremely rude, they forgot half of our order and wouldn’t let us get it, instead made us go back around the whole drive thru and wait in line just to get the rest of our order. Extremely terrible service. Do not recommend.
